At the end of May 2003, Mao Zhixiong started holding brainwashing sessions within the Liulinxiang Elementary School to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. Falun Dafa practitioner Du Ancheng was abducted while transplanting rice seedlings; practitioners Yang and Li from Tianfu Township were also abducted from their homes during the night and taken to the brainwashing facility; Li resolutely resisted the persecution. Practitioner Ms. Ren Sufang and another male practitioner from Tashui Township were hog-tied and brought to the brainwashing facility.

Fellow practitioners have realized that we need to send forth strong righteous thoughts to clean up all the evil factors behind the brainwashing sessions and actively tell the truth about the persecution to relevant departments and people in charge to stop them from sabotaging Falun Dafa, persecuting practitioners, and destroying the sentient beings.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yu Hongli, 32, is from Dalian City, Liaoning Province. She refused to cooperate with the authorities in the detention center and kept telling every police officer she ran into, "Falun Dafa is good!" A policewoman whipped her with slippers and used duct tape to tape her mouth shut. She was also handcuffed and shackled.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiaofang, 36, works in Jintang County, Chengdu City. She was unlawfully arrested in the Qingbaijiang area by local police officers. Officers at the police station, wearing hard soled shoes, stepped all over her legs and feet. Her legs were completely bruised and injured. She was also deprived of sleep. Currently, she is in custody at the Pi County Detention Center.

On June 4^th, members for the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] abducted Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xiong Wenyi from his home. He is being held at an unknown location, and his disappearance has severely impacted both his work place and his family.

4. [Jinzhou City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Chen Jun Illegally Abducted

On the evening of June 8, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Jun was taken from his home. Mr. Chen had been released from jail less than half a month prior to his abduction. Police officers Wang Junlin, Liu Zhiqiang, Xiao Chunfang, Gao Ying and others from the Zhangjiabao Township Police Station showed up at his home. They also took two Falun Dafa books. Mr. Chen Jun is being unlawfully held in the Yi County Detention Center.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Zhengrui, 67, has been unlawfully held in custody numerous times for going to Beijing to present the facts about Falun Dafa. On June 11, 2003, the police abducted Ms. Li while she was clarifying the truth and distributing Falun Gong materials in downtown Ziyang City.

Some officials at the Chengdu No. 132 Factory (the Aircraft Motor Company) are still following Jiang and persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. They have withheld practitioners' salaries since the end of 1999. Every month practitioners have to come to the factory to sign their names before they can receive just 200 Yuan, a small portion of their full salaries. [An average urban worker's salary is 500 Yuan.] Practitioners have been put through financial hardships in this way. Leaders of the No. 132 factory have also willfully detained practitioners. On May 22, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Hu Xiaofeng was unlawfully detained when she showed up to collect her salary. She is being held in the Xinjin County Brainwashing Center. The Chengdu No. 132 has sent staff to monitor Ms. Hu. Each person who monitors her receives a monthly compensation of over 1,000 Yuan. Ms. Hu Xiaofeng has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Hu Xinrong , 40, and Ms. Huang Shuxia, 58, are from Xiaodu Town in Tongnan County, Chongqing City. They were abducted while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong on the street. Currently, Ms. Hu is being held in a detention center, and Ms. Huang is held in a drug rehabilitation center.

Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Zheng Quanyu , about 30, and Ms. Wang Jun, about 50, were abducted last month while distributing Falun Gong materials. They have been unlawfully held in a detention center for over two months.

Informers spotted Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Baoqin while she was telling the public the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. Just after 11:00 am, on May 20^th, Ms. Zhang and her elder sister returned home. Before they could close the door, five police officers stormed in and conducted an illegal search. They forcibly dragged Ms. Zhang into a police vehicle and took her to the detention center. So far, her family members have been denied any visitation.

Informers turned in Ms. Dong Lianfeng to the police. On February 25^th, police unlawfully arrested both she and another Falun Dafa practitioner from her home and confiscated Dafa truth-clarifying literature. Currently, Ms. Dong is being held at the Mulan County No. 1 Detention Center.

After having been on a hunger strike for over twenty days, Ms. Dong was in an extremely weak condition. She was first sent to the Mulan County Hospital for emergency treatment and then sentenced to fifteen years in prison. She was taken to the Xinjian Prison in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. However the prison authorities found out that her physical condition disqualified her as a prisoner. So, Ms. Dong was brought back to Mulan County and held at the No. 2 Detention Center. The police plan to wait until her condition improves before they throw her into the prison again. Ms. Dong Lianfeng is currently on a hunger strike protesting the persecution. Local practitioners have been sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the factors behind the persecution against her. We request practitioners overseas help rescue her by clarifying the truth over the phone.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Huiying lives in Chengguan District in Wuwei City, Gansu Province. She was arrested by police from the "610 Office" around June 9, 2003 for carrying materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yongchun lives at Baishu Township in Wuwei City, Gansu Province. Around 2:30 a.m. on June 12, 2003, police forcibly took away Mr. Liu while he was posting signs saying "Falun Dafa is Good." Members of the "610 Office" brutally tortured him. Although he had injuries all over his body, he was still handcuffed and shackled when the police took him back home, where they then conducted an illegal search.
