Use Every Opportunity to Clarify the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) Master said that the Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples must perform three tasks well: studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts, and clarifying the truth. Master also pointed out that to clarify the truth is to save sentient beings.

I believe there is no set way to clarify the truth. We can and we must clarify the truth under any circumstance. The key is how. I think this is also a part of the "the gong refines the person."

In the spring of 2003, the Beijing "610 Office"* issued a multiple-choice test to all the organizations in the city, including government offices, schools, industrial companies, farms, and non-profit organizations, in order to single out Dafa disciples. The questions in the test were very tricky. There were a lot of questions that slandered Dafa, and you had to choose "Yes" or "No."

My employer also required everybody to answer those questions. A few other Dafa disciples and I realized that we would definitely not allow this kind of persecution and sent forth righteous thoughts to remove the evil. The risk of not cooperating with them was that we might suffer from further persecution, be sent to a brainwashing center, and be fired from our jobs. But what came to our minds first was that we are Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples. Master is here, Fa is here, and we are able to get rid of all attachments and defeat the evils. We not only do not work with them, but also we strive to clarify the truth to those who carry out the persecution.

We refused to answer any questions and refused to sign our names on the test. When the top officials of our work unit called us into their office one by one and tried to force us to answer questions and sign our names, we explained the truth to them with wisdom. For example, they said, "What you are doing is against the law, and is inconsistent with the Party's central committee." We answered, "What you are doing is against the law. You are seriously interfering with citizens' freedom of speech, and all the questions in the test were political questions." They couldn't defend their actions against our replies. Using this opportunity, we clarified the truth about the slandering of Master and Dafa. Finally they had to say, "We are forced by our superiors to do this, and it's really not necessary."

By clarifying the truth this time we realized that the Fa can get rid of all attachments, the Fa can defeat all the evils, and the Fa can make us strong. I finally understood that one righteous thought can defeat one hundred evil thoughts. I also realized that there is no fixed format for clarifying the truth. We must truly think about saving people and telling people the facts. There are many opportunities in our daily lives to clarify the truth and we should fulfill our duty as Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples.

*"610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
