(Clearwisdom.net) On July 4, 2003, the annual Independence Day Parade was
held on Constitution Ave. between the Washington Monument and the Capitol Hill
in Washington DC. More than 70 groups participated, and the Falun Gong
practitioners' grand procession was one of the groups.

World Journal reported on July 8 that the Falun Gong procession was "one of the most spectacular processions this year." The report also said, "Other than Falun Dafa banners and signs of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,' practitioners in colorful Tang Dynasty costumes performed a traditional Chinese ribbon dance. Following them were practitioners in bright yellow suits demonstrating the exercises on a float. The best performance was the Dragon Dance. They won warm applause from the spectators."
