Solemn Declaration

I started practicing Falun Dafa in August of 1997. I learned about "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance." It has benefited me tremendously. Before I started practicing, I'd lost all courage to face life due to suffering from various kinds of illnesses. After I started the practice, my health improved and my mind was at ease. My family was saved from breaking up.

On December 26, 2000, the police arrested anyone who appealed on behalf of Falun Gong. I had no other way to voice my concerns so I went to the street and hung banners that read "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" to show the magnificence of Dafa. But the police illegally sent us to the detention center. On New Years Eve of 2001 they publicly paraded us on the street with criminals that had committed murder. We went on a hunger strike to protest the unfair treatment and they prohibited us from going home. We weren't allowed to take care of our children. The police and secret agents told our families, "The practitioners only care for themselves and they don't want to go home." They wanted to stir hatred among our families. After detaining us for 5 months they extorted 1,000 Yuan from our families to bail us out. On August 17, the police from the division and the village officials came to my house and forcefully took me away to the city sponsored brainwashing class (the village committee had to pay a fee of 5,000 Yuan). They demanded that we give up "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance." Forced to view the defamatory and slanderous videos against Teacher and Dafa, I became extremely upset. Under heavy pressure I was deceived; therefore I hereby declare all the things I said and wrote that were against Dafa are null and void. I'll redouble my effort and compensate for the damage that I have caused Dafa.

Solemn Declaration

I am one of those that Teacher said the old forces had arranged to sabotage Dafa from within Dafa. The old forces arranged to use me to commit crimes against Teacher, Dafa and fellow practitioners to complete their wicked so-called testing of Dafa and Dafa practitioners to bring destruction to sentient beings and to achieve their own goals. It was Teacher who gave me wisdom, pointed out the nature of the evil and made me realize the fearful outcome of being used by the old forces. I am a disciple of the Lord of Buddhas. I will not concur with the old force's arrangements. I want to sincerely apologize to all of the practitioners that I have brought destruction and disturbance to. I also hereby declare that all the guarantee letters I wrote in the labor camp, police station and on the streets are null and void.

In 2000, I said things originating from demonic interference from my own mind. I created rumors among practitioners, and severely interfered with practitioners' righteous thoughts and trust toward Teacher and Dafa. I also blocked ordinary people from learning the truth. I was destroying the environment that Teacher gave to practitioners. I was damaging the good name of Dafa and the reputation of the practitioners.

What's more, from August 10, 2000 to January 13, 2001, I was completely under the control of the old forces. I had willingly "enlightened" on an evil path. Betraying Teacher and Dafa, I wrote the "three statements [Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the three statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners]," as well as making other guarantees. I actively cooperated with the labor camp guards doing things that damage Dafa, such as assisting the guards to easily acquire my fingerprints, mug shots and videos, as well as watching the false propaganda videotapes. During this time period, I actively wrote letters attacking Teacher and Dafa to the labor camp office and to my family members. I said silly things like, "the labor camp is a great place" to my family. I've completed things that are against my conscience. At the same time I signed my name on letters from the 610 Office and the police department. In the labor camp I actively participated in "personal cangues" (ie. the person who was designated to supervise the behavior of practitioners), brainwashing, supervising and betraying fellow practitioners. I severely destroyed and disturbed the practitioners' trust toward Teacher and Dafa. I was the helping hand of the evil. I was destroying myself as well.

From January 13, 2001 to February 1, 2002, during all the "sensitive dates" I was actively writing "guarantee statements" to the police department and local officials. I was actively helping the evil from the police department commit shameful acts such as acquiring fingerprints, hair and mug shots. In February 2001 I helped the 610 Office torture the illegally detained practitioners in the labor camp. When I went home the 610 Office paid each of us 50 Yuan.

Because my study of the Fa wasn't deep, I couldn't learn the Fa from the standpoint of the Fa. I've committed so many wrongdoings. I've created many mistakes in my cultivation path. I hereby guarantee to Teacher, who never gave up on me, "from now on no matter how difficult the environment becomes, no matter how the evils try to sabotage, I will be wise and place my heart with Dafa. I will follow the Teacher and walk the path of Fa-rectification. I'll be a genuine Fa-rectification period practitioner. I will not let the old forces take advantage of me again. I will redouble my effort and compensate for the damages I've done to Dafa.
