For Exposing Government Authorities' Illegal Conduct, My Husband, A Non-practitioner, Was Brutally Beaten and Fired From His Job

(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 20, 1999, because I continued practicing Falun Dafa, I have been persecuted and harassed by both the police and the "610 Office" In October 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and tell the government that Falun Dafa is good and share the positive experiences I have had from practicing it. For this, I was detained in Beijing for seven days. In November, I was illegally detained for fifteen days. The Beijing police stole the 500 Yuan** I had with me. They bought me a homebound train ticket and kept the rest of the money.

On January 17, 2000, the scoundrels from the County "610 Office" and police suddenly came to search my home without a warrant or legal procedure. They took away my Falun Dafa books, exercise tape and materials. In April the same year, the personnel from the "610 Office" arrested me in the streets when I was buying groceries and illegally detained me for another fifteen days.

On June 19, 2000, fellow practitioners and I went to the "610 Office" to peacefully appeal and request an open environment to practice the exercises. As a result, we were detained for ten days. We practiced the exercises in the detention center. The police took turns beating, kicking, and hitting my thighs till there were blue-black patches on my thighs. We protested the abuse by going on a group hunger strike until we were finally released.

In July 2000, lawless personnel arrested me from home in the middle of the night and sent me to a detention center where they illegally detained me for 15 days. In September 2000, because I distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials and clarified the truth to people, I was detained again, this time for 17 days. I went on a hunger strike to protest the 17 days of illegal detention.

In October 2000, I visited a fellow practitioner at her residence. The police who had followed me then arrested me and took me to a detention center. At the same time, they used this excuse to search the practitioner's home and my home.

In December 2000, I went to Beijing again to clarify the truth and validate Dafa. The police arrested me again and held me in a detention center for two weeks. On January 19, 2001, they forcibly and secretly sent me to a forced labor camp for two years of forced labor. At the same time, they extorted a 3,000 Yuan "fine" from my family members and withheld my husband's and son's salaries.

In the forced labor camp, because I persistently studied the Fa and practiced the exercises, the police handcuffed me. They made us sit on "the small stool" (a torture device) for ten to over twenty hours each day. They forbade us to sleep at night. I was punished by having to stand in one place for the whole night. If I did not stand properly, they used an electric baton to shock my face, my mouth and feet. I was also forbidden from going to the toilet. They used all kinds of tortures on me. One morning in April 2001, when I was practicing the exercises, two police officers dragged me to the office. They viciously said to me, "You like to practice? I let you practice nicely." They used two electric batons to shock me for as long as fifteen minutes.

In May 2001, because I didn't have a deep understanding of the Fa, my righteous thoughts were not strong and under the severe pressure I went astray after being coerced by the authorities. I did wrongful deeds that let Dafa and Master down and thus caused and left an irrevocable black mark on my cultivation.

In December 2001, I was bailed out to seek medical attention and was released home. Through studying Master's lectures, I thoroughly understood that the so-called "being transformed" is an act of damaging Dafa, caused losses to Dafa and created a negative impact. I decided to turn over a new leaf, correct the mistakes I made in the past and steadfastly walk on the Fa-rectification cultivation path again. Because of this, the scoundrels from the "610 Office" detained me in the detention center again for seven months. They didn't release me until my husband was in critical condition and passed away. Not even during the period of my husband's funeral did they stop harassing me.

Since July 20, 1999, Jiang regime enforced vicious economic sanctions against us Dafa practitioners. They illegally detained me for half a month and confiscated and "fined" me three months of my salary. Therefore, in those three years they kept detaining me, my salary kept going into their pockets. They basically took away my salary over the past three years.

Not only did I endure all kinds of persecution, my family was also implicated. My son was not allowed to join the army, nor allowed to sit for a university examination, or go to work.

Because my husband disclosed the fact that the police brutally beat me to the Regulation Committee, he was also brutally beaten repeatedly by persecutors from the evil "610 Office. His position as a deputy director of a department was taken away and he was forbidden to go to work. He was made a door-guard instead. Officials from the "610 Office" issued a notice that they would only pay him living expenses of 200 Yuan each month. In 2002, during my extended period in the detention center, my husband went to insist that the authorities produce legal evidence for detaining me. Because my husband is also a staff member of the police force, he knew that without legal evidence, the detention center can only detain a person for a maximum of 15 days. The section chief of the Political and Security Section, Yang Jingping, cursed him profanely many times, saying, "I am the law! If I want to detain your wife till she dies, what can you do to me?" Even during the time when my husband was critically ill and till he passed away, they didn't allow me go home to take care of him.

I appeal to kind-hearted people in the around the world about this injustice! I simply want to practice Falun Dafa because it made my mind and body healthy. My Master taught me how to be a good person. I have done nothing wrong. Where have human rights gone in China?
