Our Teacher mentioned at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference that the epidemic situation in China marks the beginning of a new stage of the elimination of the evil. Falun Dafa practitioners all know that this is a critical moment for us to eliminate the evil and it's our first priority to let more people know the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa.

However, some practitioners began to have unrighteous thoughts, such as, "The day has finally come and we'll soon reach consummation." Others went on shopping sprees because they thought that money would be useless after reaching consummation. This is failing to let go of attachments to money and wealth, and at the same time it would mislead others who do not know the Fa. When some practitioners heard Teacher say that once one reaches consummation, it'll be almost impossible for the practitioners to see each other, they felt so sad that they had a hard time falling asleep for several days. Isn't this strong human sentimentality? Some even say that we should go to Beijing to wait for the day. Isn't this putting all their thoughts on themselves? These unrighteous thoughts would be an easy loophole for the old forces to use.

Some practitioners in charge of truth clarification materials thought that since the evil was at their wits end and busy dealing with SARS, that they would have no time to arrest the practitioners. They became careless and this led to big losses. In Hebei Province alone 180 practitioners were arrested during the period of April though June. In Zibo City, Shandong Province seven Dafa material production sites were destroyed. The evil even fabricated rumors to mislead people, saying that we sabotaged the government's fight against SARS, in an attempt to stir up another wave of hatred against Falun Dafa.

Our Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A",

"Even if it's going to end tomorrow, today that evil will still do evil just the same."

We should not let down our guards down even a little bit. At this critical moment we should do everything even better and not leave any loopholes on which the evil can act. At the same time, when we totally deny the old forces we should also look inside ourselves to see if we still have attachments and unrighteous thoughts or if we still have any not so benevolent mentalities. Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A,"

"As I have said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing."

Therefore, the more critical the moment, the better and the more righteous every one of our steps should be.
