Practitioner Liu Zhaohong of Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province, Has Been Conducting a Hunger Strike for More Than Three Weeks (Includes Phone Numbers)

(Clearwisdom.net)

Around 9 p.m. on May 12, 2003, Falun Gong practitioner Liu Zhaohong of Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province, was tricked by the police with a cell phone into going to Jiaoxi Town, and then was illegally arrested by the police there. After he was detained, the police also illegally impounded his private car.

Liu Zhaohong suffered all types of brutal torture for 5 days and nights, such as being hung up and beaten by the police of the "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] in Jiaoxi Town local police station and city public security bureau local police station, and his home was illegally confiscated. Later, the police of the "610 Office" took Liu Zhaohong to Zibo Forced Labor Camp. Because his physical body was so severely tortured by the police, the forced labor camp refused him. So the police took him to Jiaozhou City's Criminal Detention Centre. In the detention centre, Liu Zhaohong conducted a hunger strike to resist the persecution. Then the police put handcuffs and shackles on his hands and feet. Members of the "610 Office" illegally interrogated him one after another, using torture instruments to torment him, intending to force him into giving up his rightous thoughts of practicing Falun Dafa. Liu Zhaohong has been conducting a hunger strike to protest the illegal persecution for more than 20 days in the detention centre, and his body is very weak now.
