A Father's View of How to Be More Responsible To Young Dafa Disciples During the Fa-Rectification Period

(Clearwisdom.net) I have two boys, ages eight and six. When my wife and I first started cultivation, they were too young and did not know how to read. How could I plant Dafa seeds in their hearts? I started to teach them to have "faith" in Dafa first, showed them Master's picture and told them this is our most respected Master. As a result, seeds of faith in Dafa and Master were planted into their hearts. Later when they grew older, we taught them to recite Hongyin. In the meantime, we took them with us every time we participated in Dafa activities, even to experience sharing conferences.

In May 2002, my wife attended the Toronto Experience Sharing Conference, where she discussed from the Fa's standpoint how to better take care of young Dafa disciples with other mothers. Everyone in the discussion agreed that these young Dafa disciples are all our fellow practitioners, it was our Master who entrusted them to us. We have to be responsible to them.

As soon as my older son reached school age, we started to teach him to read the English version of Zhuan Falun. It was difficult at first, we could not keep it up everyday. Reading the Fa together everyday was a test for our son and us. Very often I had to offer all kinds of incentives for him to study the Fa. With him making progress in Fa study, his English reading capability dramatically improved. Now, everyday the first thing he wants to do after school is to study the Fa, and never misses a single day. On New Year's Day 2003, my older son's New Year's present for Master was that he read three additional pages of Zhuan Falun than normal on that day.

Not long ago, we started to teach our younger son to read Zhuan Falun every day.

With the boys' progress in Fa study, Master opened their Tianmu and they could see Master's Fashen everyday. Everyday, Master's Fashen took them to a heavenly world to study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts.

On the issue of teaching children reading the Fa, I enlightened to the following understanding. The form in this world for children to read the Fa each day is also a very good material existence in other dimensions. Once such a material existence is formed, it is easier for us to study the Fa with the children each day, and there is less interference. On the contrary, before such a material existence is formed, or during such formation, there will be much more interference and difficulties for us to overcome. As a matter of fact, everyone of us Dafa disciples has experienced similar formation of such a material existence, such as setting up a practice site, studying the Fa everyday, practicing the exercises everyday, or sending forth righteous thoughts at certain times, etc.

With our children's improvement in Fa study, their Xinxing dramatically improved at the same time. They participated in lots of spreading Fa and clarifying truth activities with their pure hearts. Now the boys study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts everyday, and also share some truth-clarifying work. They grew into two true Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period.
