Yang Yuanqiu, a Dafa practitioner from Shuangnian Village, Yongquan Town of
Wenjiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, was the alternate supervisor
of the village. Because Mr. Yang conducted himself according to the principles
of "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" he was a upright official.
The party secretary of village Kang Hejian and the village supervisor Yang
Heqing were jealous of Yang Yuanqiu and feared him. They were afraid that the
fact that they embezzled over 100,000 RMB (note: An average urban worker's
monthly wage in China is about 500 RMB) would be exposed. So they staged an
action to frame Yang Yuanqiu. Together with brothers of Li Jiabin and Li
Jiacheng in Shuangliu County, they gathered over 100 people and then informed
the Yongquan Town Police Substation and Shuangliu County Peng Town Police
Substation, that Falun Gong practitioners were having an experience sharing
conference. During their attempt to arrest Yang Yuanqiu, the chief of the
Yongquan Town Police Substation opened fire at Yang Yuanqiu but missed. Yang
Yuanqiu escaped unharmed.
