Shanghai "610 Office" Persecutes an Employee of a Foreign Company

My name is Jiang Bin and I am 29 years old. I started practicing Falun Dafa in October of 1995. I am from the Changning area in Shanghai. I worked for Intel Corporation in Shanghai. On December 30 last year, police from the Changning Police Department's Political Section came to the Intel facility located in the Pudong area, and took me away. During the following two days they forbade me from sleeping, and they took turns interrogating me nonstop. After 48 hours, on January 1 of this year, the police sent me to the Changning Detention Center illegally and sentenced me to criminal detention.

At the end of January my family had me released on bail. On the one hand, the police wanted to see who would make contact with me and thus discover the whereabouts of other practitioners. On the other hand, the police kept talking to me every two or three weeks, threatening me to get me to write the "letter of separation" and other letters against Falun Dafa, and they also hung onto the delusion that I would become their spy. But I kept sending righteous thoughts and their plot failed.

At the beginning of June, I finally found a new job and planned to start work in July. However the "610 Office" had tapped my home phone illegally, and they phoned my new work unit and threatened them [the "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. As a result, I lost my job before I had even begun to work there.

I thought, isn't this an opportunity to clarify the truth? So I went to the "610 Office" directly. At the time there were five people in the office. I first went up to the Chief, Jun Meiju, asking her why she deprived me of my right to work. She replied, "You did not write the 'letter of separation,' so we will make it impossible for you to live. What can you do to me? If you are capable, then go ahead and sue me." I patiently clarified the truth to them the whole morning, but they continued to threaten me.

On the morning of July 11, 2003, Pan and Wu Tiehua from the "610 Office," in collaboration with Wang Yu of the Political Section of the Changning Police Department, attempted to abduct me to the newly established brainwashing class in Shanghai and then send me to forced labor camp. (Wang is a very sinister person, having gained promotions by persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.) I managed to escape from the second floor window and rejoined the mighty current of Fa rectification.
