One Thousand Dafa Practitioners Illegally Detained; Persecutor Receives Retribution

Since July 20, 1999, Li Guoyin, the former Party Secretary of Weixian County, Hebei Province, directed the "610 Office"* to madly persecute Falun Gong. Over 1,000 practitioners were illegally detained. He also used various means to persecute practitioners such as extortion, torture, detainment, and forced labor camp and prison terms. Later on, he was moved to the Baoding Region to work. In June 2003, a corruption problem from his tenure in Weixian County was disclosed. He is now under investigation in the Baoding Region, and he is under house arrest.

Jia Weilin, the superintendent of Fuyu Forced Labor Camp, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is receiving retribution now. He was fired from his job.

Guo Wang, the Party Secretary of Ke Village of Yangzhuang Village, Weixian County, Hebei Province, has cruelly persecuted Falun Gong practitioners since July 20, 1999. In May 2003, his hipbone was injured while he was exercising in the gym. Soon afterwards, his wife was severely bitten by their own dog.

* "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
