Admirable Fellow Practitioners

While spending one year homeless to avoid persecution, I encountered many admirable practitioners
who quietly yet resolutely walk their paths of Fa-rectification.
They greatly encouraged me to be more steadfast in cultivation. 1. On meeting fellow
practitioner Chen, the first thing she said to me was, "If not for the protection of our
merciful Master, we would not have met tonight." She told me, "When I rode my bike through
an intersection on my way home, a motorcycle came out of nowhere and raced toward me. We collided
straight on. After a loud 'bang', I fell to the ground. All the bystanders thought I must be dead.
At that moment, I couldn't move my limbs, and the voices around me were very faint. In my heart I
told myself, 'Everything will be fine, as I am a cultivator. I will eliminate all the tribulations
forced upon me by the old forces, because I am a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple.' Although
the motorcyclist wore a helmet, it took him a while to regain consciousness. He walked over and
suggested that he take me to a hospital. I motioned to him that after a short rest everything would
be fine. After a few moments I regained my speech, and I knew that this incident could not have been
a coincidence. We must have some kind of predestined relationship, so I had to clarify the facts of
Falun Gong to him. The motorcycle rider again insisted that he take me to the hospital, and I said,
'Everything is fine, and I don't need to go to the hospital. I am a Falun Gong practitioner. This
is actually a stroke of luck. Do you know Falun Gong?' He replied, 'I do. My family received truth
clarification literature, but I've never read it.' I told him, 'That's a shame. Falun Gong teaches
people to exercise compassion. You know the severity of today's accident, but I won't take your
money or compensation. Our Master teaches us to consider others at all times. I only want you to
bear in mind the words of Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance), and that Falun Dafa
is good. Dafa practitioners are all kind people, and the reports on television are just trying to
frame us.' He answered, 'Yes, I will keep this in mind. Thank you.' In the end, he offered to pay
for the repairs of my bicycle, and I gratefully declined."
I was very touched by the actions of this fellow practitioner. Not only did she think of others
during the accident, she even looked inward to search for her own shortcomings. She felt some fear,
as she didn't clarify the facts to all the bystanders present. I saw that a large part of her knee
was bruised. Her bicycle couldn't even be pushed, but somehow, it worked well upon riding. All
practitioners present knew that Master had helped us. Around 11 p.m. that same night, Chen and a few
other practitioners left to post truth-clarification literature in far away villages, not returning
until 3 a.m. 2. Another practitioner obtained the Fa in 1996. She used to suffer from chronic
rheumatism that required her to take a large quantity of medication, and she couldn't work. The
incurable disease plagued her for many years, and she felt she no longer wanted to live. After she
obtained Dafa however, all of her illnesses disappeared. When others witnessed her changes, they too
started to learn Dafa. Her husband is also quite supportive of her truth spreading activities. After
the persecution started, she steadfastly walked her path of Fa-rectification. Everywhere she went
she diligently pasted truth-clarification literature, clarified the facts to the people, and
distributed Dafa flyers. From her 600 Yuan monthly salary, she keeps only 50-100 Yuan to live, and
the rest she saves to make truth-clarification literature to save sentient beings.
3. A third fellow practitioner knew nothing about computers, but she also aspired to learn how to
use the computer to make truth-clarification literature. Every afternoon under the blistering heat
she went to the home of a distant practitioner to learn about computers. At first, her head ached
every time she sat in front of a computer, but she resolved to keep learning. I am very touched by
