Beijing Xin'an Construction Company. The Daxing Police arrested her at home just
before the 16th Party Congress in November 2002. She was then
sentenced to two years of forced labor. Currently she is being detained in the
Beijing Forced Labor Dispatching Center. Wherever she is, whether in the
detention center, the brainwashing center, or the dispatching center, Che
Chunrong always maintains righteous thoughts. In the face of brainwashing and
torture, she never yields to the evils. Wherever she goes, she clarifies the
truth of Falun Dafa openly and nobly. During the Chinese Lunar New Year of 2003, police sent her home for only
three days. When she returned to continue her sentence, the three months she had
already spent in the detention center before the holiday were not counted. Her
term of forced labor was restarted at the Chinese Lunar New Year, thus her
sentence was deviously extended. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Meng Lan Detained in
Brainwashing Class Meng Lan, over 50 years old, lives on Baiyin Road in the Chengguan District
of Lanzhou City. Around 8:00 am on May 18, 2003, more than ten people went to
her home and took her away. Meng Lan kept shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" on the
way to the police station. She was then sent to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing
Class located in Lanzhou City, where she was cuffed and fettered. She resolutely
refused to cooperate and went on a hunger strike to protest her illegal

Textbooks On page 69 of Society, Book II, there are several fabrications used to
defame Falun Dafa. This book was compiled and edited by Liaoning Primary
School's Social Study Textbook Editing Group, approved by the National Primary &
High School Appraisal Committee under the National Education Department, and
published by the Liaohai Printing Press in 2002. The Xinhua Bookstore in
Liaoning Province currently carries this book. Contents that defame Falun Dafa are also included in the magazine Next

successfully held during a local market fair. Over 70 practitioners attended.
The current situation of Fa-rectification and the problems among practitioners
were discussed. Before the conference, practitioners who organized the activity
had established a topic, which contributed a lot to the success of the
conference. Through experience sharing, practitioners gained a better
understanding of the Fa principles, of how to do well the things that
practitioners should do at this special period of time, of how to cherish the
precious opportunity of cultivation practice, and of how to harmonize everything
more rationally in the human society through our diligent cultivation. This
conference contributed greatly to the improvement of local practitioners as a
whole body. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Huang Liping Arrested Recently, Ms. Huang Liping was illegally arrested. She may be sentenced to
jail. [Kunming City, Yunan Province] Practitioner Han Xiaoyu Is Sentenced to Two
Years of Forced Labor Ms. Han Xiaoyu (an MA) was illegally arrested while distributing
truth-clarifying materials on May 4. The Wuhua District Police Department
sentenced her to two years of forced labor without following any legal
procedures. Her happy family has been destroyed; her two-year-old daughter
suffers from the loss of her mother's love. Despite the seriousness of the SARS
epidemic in Kunming City, the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners was in no
way lessened. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Wang Shoufen Arrested Around June 8, Ms. Wang Shoufen was illegally arrested at her mother's home.
She is being detained in the Beipiao Detention Center. Details are as yet

Brainwashing Center Around 9:00 am on June 25, 2003, Police Officer Jiang Guiren from the
substation in Drilling Plant No. 7 of Daqing City, together with four other
people, arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Xu Shilin and sent her to the
Hongweixin Brianwashing Center for intensified persecution. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Shenhui Is
Transferred to The Suihua Forced Labor Camp During detention in the Daqing Forced Labor Camp, Zhang Shenhui insisted on
his belief and never yielded to the evils' brainwashing. Because of this, Wang
Yongxiang, Vice Director of the Daqing Forced Labor Camp, and Han Qingshan,
Administrative Director of the camp, transferred him to the Suihua Forced Labor
Camp for intensified persecution.
