To Cover Up the Rape and Persecution of Ms. Wei Xingyan, Chongqing City's "610 Office" Illegally Abducts 40 More Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net)

Previously, we exposed that vicious policemen raped Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wei Xingyan, a graduate student at Chongqing University, during her illegal detention. She then went on a hunger strike to protest and was brutally force-fed. This news attracted the attention of kind-hearted people around the world, and they contacted Chongqing authorities to inquire and demand an investigation to determine the responsibilities of all who were involved. Those who persecuted Ms. Wei were terribly fearful of their crimes being discovered and tried hard to cover up the facts. Meanwhile, the guilty parties became even more evil and escalated their persecution of other practitioners and truth-clarifying materials sites. Recently more and more practitioners have been abducted. Especially on June 15, 2003 at around 1:00 AM, Chongqing City "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] attacked many homes of practitioners in Shapengba section and the city's midtown area. That night, some 40 practitioners were illegally arrested and taken away from their houses; in addition two truth-clarifying materials sites were destroyed. Right now, many other practitioners at home are being put under tight surveillance and being followed closely if they go out.
