Thirteen Practitioners Are Illegally Sentenced in Nanyang City, Henan Province

In May of this year, the court in Wancheng District, Nanyang City, Henan Province separately sentenced Falun Dafa practitioners, who had been illegally detained for two years, to up to seven years in prison.

Kui Yingxiang, Kui Yujuan, and Ding Jianying were sentenced to seven years. Yang Guifan was sentenced for five years. Wang Chunjian and Lin Yan were sentenced to four years. The other practitioners were sentenced for to up to three years.

After Liu Ying and Hu Zhenyong were caught they became collaborators [former Dafa practitioners who have been subjected to severe pressure and torture to persecute their fellow practitioners], cooperating with the evil and helping to seize practitioners. Many internet cafes have been searched. At least ten practitioners were arrested in Nanyang City. Hopefully practitioners will be cautious.

Liu Ying is a 39-year-old woman born in April 1963 in Nanyang City. She is of Han nationality, has a community college degree, and was a teacher at the No. 2 Community College. She was detained on July 10, 2001 by the police department of Wancheng District, Nanyang City, and was arrested on August 20th. She has now been released, and lives at the No. 2 Community College.

Mr. Hu Zhenyong is 42 years old, and was born in December 1959 in Nanyang City. He is of Han nationality, has a middle school degree, and previously worked at the Oil company in Wancheng district, Nanyang City. He lives in No. 9 of Hongwei Village, Nanyang City. He was detained in July 2001 by the police department of Wancheng District, Nanyang City, and was arrested in August. He has now been released.
