Persecuted to Death: Practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiangmei from Linqi City, Shandong Province

Ms. Zhou Xiangmei, around 47 years old, started to practice Falun Dafa in 1995. She held a technical school diploma and was an excellent employee of the Credit Union of Lanshan District, Linqi City, Shandong Province.

After July 1999 when Jiang started to persecute Falun Dafa, she went to Beijing to appeal. As a result, she was persecuted on many occasions. Her husband, Li Yongxin, was also persecuted because he practiced Dafa. In order to avoid further persecution, Mr. Li left home. However, in October 2002, he was arrested and illegally sentenced to 10 years in prison.

In June 2003, under the directive of the "610 Office"(an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems), Ms. Zhou was detained on the top floor of a residential building of the credit union. On June 20, Ms. Zhou fell from the building and died.

Now only her school-age son is left at home.

The "610 Office" claimed that Ms. Zhou accidentally fell when she attempted to escape from the detention. The details are yet to be investigated.

Another Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Yngdong from Qishui County, Linqi City, was pushed down from a tall building and died. The police claimed that he jumped to his death. However, people could see clearly that wounds due to beating covered all his body. The county government gave his family 40,000 Yuan asking them not to disclose any information about his death.
