Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Take Part in Frankfurt International Cultural Festival Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 28, 2003, German Falun Gong practitioners took part in the First Frankfurt International Cultural Festival parade. The practitioners received much applause from the crowd, which astonished the Chinese people on the sidewalks. They clearly saw the stark contrast between Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong in China and Falun Gong's popularity in societies around the world.

There were around 60 different groups participating in this festival. The Falun Gong group had the theme of "Chinese Culture and Cultivation." Several practitioners wore traditional golden Chinese costumes and stood on a float decorated with pictures of Chinese landscapes to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises. The female practitioners danced to beautiful music and everything was in harmony. They wore traditional Chinese costumes to perform the dance that has been a favorite at Chinese festivals for thousands of years -- The Fan Dance. Children came in groups hurrying their parents along to watch the show. Parents asked with puzzled glances, why is Falun Gong being suppressed in China?

Another group of Falun Gong practitioners also wore golden costumes to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and talk to people who wanted to learn more about the practice. Thousands of people received our leaflets and put them in their pockets until after the performance finished.

We set up an information desk beside St. Paul's Church where people could get information and learn more about Falun Gong by talking to the practitioners. More and more people learned about the unreasonable suppression of Falun Gong and condemned Jiang's atrocities.
