On June 26, 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner Liang Shumin, 63, posted stickers with the words, "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" on the street, and was unlawfully arrested by several police officers from the Shiqu Police Station in Shahe City, Hebei Province. Liang was then unlawfully detained in the Shahe City Detention Center on criminal charges. Recently robbery and other crimes have increased, and the police are turning a blind eye to the criminals and focusing on kind people who practice Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. The television news shamelessly reported that Liang was arrested for posting stickers reading, "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance."

The Person responsible for the persecution is Xi Wenhong from the Shiqu Police Station in Shahe City, Hebei Province.

Recently numerous incidents of Falun Dafa practitioners being persecuted have taken place. According to insiders, the police have been following Falun Dafa practitioners and staking out in Jiangbin and other places.

In 2000, Mr. Han Xu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was unlawfully detained for fifteen days. In 2001, Mr. Han was unlawfully sentenced to ten months of forced labor education and was dismissed by his work place, unlawfully. He was forced to leave his home and move from place to place to avoid persecution. The State Security Bureau unlawfully arrested Mr. Han. He was later transferred to Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province for custody. Recently he has been unlawfully sentenced to ten years in prison in Hu County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province.

Ms. Luo Xiuping, 39, is from Qiaoshan Village under the jurisdiction of Xincheng Administrative Office in Feicheng City, Shandong Province. On October 31, 2003, Ms. Luo was unlawfully arrested by the Feicheng City Police Department for delivering Falun Gong fact-clarifying materials and later held in the Tai'an City Detention Center and Feicheng City Detention Center for persecution.

Mr. Zhao Yuhai, 57, is from Yingsheng Village under the jurisdiction of Taiqian Administrative Office in Taishan District, Tai'an City, Shandong Province. In November 2002, Mr. Zhao was unlawfully arrested and held in custody by the Feicheng Police Department for delivering Falun Gong fact-clarifying materials.

Ms. Lei Weifang, 32, is from Yingsheng Village under the jurisdiction of Taiqian Administrative Office in Taishan District, Tai'an City, Shandong Province. In November 2002, Ms. Lei was unlawfully arrested and held in custody by the Feicheng Police Department for delivering Falun Gong fact-clarifying materials.

On April 20, 2003, Ms. Luo Xiuping and Mr. Zhao Yuhai were each unlawfully sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Ms. Lei Weifang was unlawfully sentenced to three years in prison. Currently Ms. Luo and Ms. Lei are being held in the Jinan Women's Prison, and Mr. Zhao is held in the Zoucheng Prison in Jining City.

It has been learned that Tai'an authorities are planning to forcibly send some Falun Dafa practitioners who have been released from forced labor camps and continued Fa-rectification activities to the Wangcun Brainwashing Center. The brainwashing center is publicly named as a legal training center to cover up the escalated persecution against Falun Gong.

Around the World Falun Dafa Day, Falun Dafa practitioners in an unspecified place in Jiaodong area celebrated the eleventh anniversary of the spread of Falun Dafa to the world. Many Falun Dafa practitioners stepped out of their homes to tell the truth of Falun Gong to the public and help offer salvation. On the evening of May 12 alone, over 4,000 stickers, 2,000 banners and other materials that clarify the facts were distributed in an area of 100 kilometers by 100 kilometers. The public has learned the truth, and the evil has been intimidated.

Recently, public notices have been posted in Pingdingshan City's Xinhua District declaring: Anyone who turns in or helps arrest a Falun Dafa practitioner will receive a one time reward ranging from 200 Yuan to 2,000 Yuan. The goal is to entice the public to carry out wrongful deeds.

On June 20, 2003, the police abducted Ms. Fu Yan while she was distributing materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police also searched her home on the same day. Ms. Fu Yan is currently being unlawfully held in custody at the Jinzhou City No. 2 Detention Center. She refused to cooperate with the evil forces and has gone on a hunger strike. Authorities at the detention center have ordered force-feeding to further the persecution against her.
