The Education Department in Guangzhou City added content into contemporary political textbooks that slander and frame Falun Dafa. They are the textbooks for junior and senior middle school students. Recently, they even claimed in classrooms that the U.S. had created the SARS virus and practitioners brought it back and spread it in China. Their lies are indeed ridiculous. Guangdong Province is clearly the source of the SARS outbreak. This is once again Jiang's regime hiding the facts. Jiang is to blame for people's deception, which is the real cause of the rapid spread of the disease in China and around the globe. His lies have brought a disaster to the people. Faced with this fact, the Jiang regime didn't reflect on their actions, but instead used this issue to further slander Dafa and persecute Dafa practitioners. This regime continues to do evil deeds.

On February 7, 2003, Dafa practitioners Ms. Tan Shuyuan and Ms. Tan Chunyi from Hulin City's 858 Farm distributed truth-clarifying materials to people. Local residents warmly welcomed them wherever they went, but they got detained one night for clarifying the facts to members of the Border Patrol in No. 8 Company. The next day, they were taken back to their local police department and their houses were ransacked. Later on, they were sent to the Mudanjiang City's Management Bureau Detention Center and are still held there currently. Their family members demanded their release many times, but Ma, director of the detention center, said, "Hand in 3,000 Yuan! Only then will we release them."

Tan Shuyuan used to work at the Agricultural Bank, but was fired only because she wanted to be a good person and practice Falun Dafa. She has been leading a difficult life. Tan Chuyi's family is not rich either. The children of the two sisters need their mother's care, but the local detention center is holding the mother for an indefinite term.

On May 21, 2003, policemen form Chengdu City Police Department collaborated often with Dujiangyan City's police to break into Dafa practitioners' homes. They abducted the following resolute Dafa practitioners and ransacked their homes:

Ms. Zhou Minying, over 30 years old, a resident of Jiangyang City. Her detention location is unknown.

Mr. Li Faquan, over 60 years old, was arrested at home. His detention location is unknown.

Ms. Xie Jirui, 68 years old, a resident of Dujiangyan City. Local police arrested her on the street without cause. She is now being held at Dujiangyan City Detention Center. Her family is not allowed to visit her or send clothes to her.

Shuangliu County's Zhengxing Law Training Center is actually a brainwashing center for persecuting practitioners. Practitioners have been detained there for a very long time. Ms. Wang Suying has been detained for almost two years. Practitioner Ms.Yan Jiahui and Ms. Su Cuirong were detained for almost one year and they are still being held there.

On April 22, 2003, a number of practitioners including Yun Xiaolin from the Yulin area, Gaoxin District in Chengdu City were arrested and taken to Chengdu City's Law Training Center, which is actually a brainwashing center for persecuting practitioners in Xinjin County.

In the beginning of June, practitioners Ms. Zang Yufeng, Ms. Li Huizhen, Ms. Niu Tongqin, Ms. Liu Chunling, and Ms. Feng Caiqin from Zhengzhou City were illegally arrested from home.

On March 29, 2003, policemen from Hengyang City's Hengzhou Police Precinct illegally arrested practitioner Ms. Yang Suying because her husband clarified the facts of the persecution against Falun Dafa to the public. The police ransacked their home that same day and took away a computer, a printer, a copy machine, a VCD player, 2500-Yuan cash, Dafa books, truth-clarifying literature, CDs and other items. The police arrested Yang Suying. Their one-year-old baby and a 60-year-old parent are left home without care. The couple is currently detained at Hengyang City's No. 2 Detention Center.

Additional reports about illegal sentences for practitioners Ms. Huang Ping and Ms. Liu Yuanying: On August 27, 2001, the police from Hengyang City's Zhuhui Police Precinct and the Yuehan Police Precinct illegally arrested Huang Ping at Liu Yuanying's home. Huang was threatened, intimidated and beaten up. That same night she was detained at the Yuehan Police Precinct with a male prisoner until the night of August 28, when she strongly protested. On August 29, she was sent to Hengyang City's Baishazhou No. 2 Detention Center and sentenced to four years imprisonment. Liu Yuanying was sentenced to seven years imprisonment.

At 3:30 p.m. on February 25, 2003, officer Chang Shiqi and three other policemen from the Fangshan Police Precinct, in collusion with officer Gao Jianhua and two other policemen from the Liulihe Police Precinct, broke into practitioner Mr. Jin Guoxiang's home, took him away and ransacked his home.

On March 7, 2003, when Chang Shiqi gave the "Detention Notice" to practitioner Jin's wife, he claimed Jin was in criminal detention, but the issue date on the notice was February 16, 2003. Chang Shiqi attempted to force Jin's wife to sign the notice, having changed the date from March 27 to February 26, but she refused.

Toward the end of 2002, police officers in Tianjin City unlawfully arrested Mr. Ren Zejun and his wife Ms. Zhang Yuanying for making and distributing Dafa truth-clarifying video discs. They were sentenced to three years and four years of forced labor, respectively, and are currently incarcerated at Shanghai City Prison. Ren Zejun worked for the Architectural Design College of Tianjin University. Ms. Zhang Yuanxing worked for Tianjin University's library.

At about 1:00 a.m. on June 24, 2003, persons from the Chongqing City "610 Office" raided Dafa practitioners in Yuzhong District. They illegally arrested 25 Dafa practitioners and destroyed two Dafa materials production sites. Personnel from the "610 Office" brutally beat these Dafa practitioners. Five practitioners, four male and one female, about 50 years old, sustained bruises from the beatings, but they firmly refused to cooperate with the perpetrators and didn't tell where they were from. These lawless policemen yanked their hair to force them to face forward to have their pictures taken, from which they attempted to find out the practitioners' personal data and origin.

In August 2001, Congtai District Police Precinct personnel unlawfully arrest Mr. Li Mingtao and his sister for making Dafa truth-clarifying materials. He has been held at Handan City's No.1 Detention Center for almost two years. His sister, Ms. Li Mingyan, was at first being held at Handan City's No.1 Detention Center. At the beginning of June, though, she was secretly sentenced to forced labor and was sent to the No.4 Division in the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp, to receive further persecution.

In order to prevent people from using Internet cafes to break through the network blockade and know the truth of Falun Dafa, Hubei provincial authorities strictly control every Internet cafe in the province with the excuse of protecting young people from surfing the web for pornographic information and play games. They require all people who use Internet cafes to register with their ID numbers. Actually, the Network Monitoring Department in Mainland China has never truly blocked overseas pornographic websites, although the techniques they mastered definitely may block these websites. So their true intention of controling the network is to prevent people from getting the truth about Falun Dafa. They continue to follow Jiang's regime to deceive Chinese people.

"610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
