In the summer of 2002, Li Jie, a 50 year-old police officer of Zhazi Town Police Station, Jiangyuan County, Baishan City, Jilin Province, who had been actively persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners crashed while riding a motorbike and received a severe brain injury. For over a month after the accident, blood continued oozing out of the wound. His motor functions were impaired and his speech became slurred. To this day, he is still unable to go back to work. All the people who know him said that his accident could be a punishment for doing too many bad things.

Wang Bosen, Chief Officer of Lequn Police Station, Shuangcheng City, and two members of the Civil Vigilante Corps, Zhao Yujun and Fu Xiaohe had been actively persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners since taking up their posts in 2001. They had illegally arrested 14 Dafa practitioners, confiscated property from their homes, and sent 6 people to brainwashing classes and subsequently to labor camps. The six victims were Zhang Yafen, Wang Xiumei, Ma Xinying, Wang Shurong, Gu Yuanhuo, and Zhao Wei. Taking advantage of their position, the officers had extorted over 10,000 Yuan from these practitioners and their families. One time, they submitted a fake report against a disabled person. Due to these actions that disabled person ended up being detained in a detention center for over half a month. The ill treatment this person endured caused him to suffer from mental disorders after his detention. Later on, their criminal acts were exposed. Wang Bosen lost his job and both Zhao Yujun and Fu Xiaohe were dismissed from their duties as well. All the locals said that was a punishment they deserved.
