Jingxing County Villagers Attribute Misfortune to Karmic Retribution for Wrongdoing

In Jingxing County, a villager received five hundred Yuan* as "reward" for reporting a Falun Gong practitioner to the authorities. Not long after, during a family dispute, the villager's nephew slashed the villager's face with a knife. After being treated at the hospital, a scar of over ten centimeters long remained on his face. His neighbors agreed that this was retribution for reporting a Falun Gong practitioner.

Also in Jingxing County, a practitioner was detained in a brainwashing class after the person's home was ransacked by the police and the "610 Office"**. Because of being unable to let go of attachments, the practitioner wrote a "guarantee" statement, and slandered Dafa and Teacher under the evil's threats. After paying a two thousand Yuan fine, the person was released. Upon arriving home, three incidents happened consecutively: (1) This person's second-born son lost a new motorcycle that he had just bought on the first day he rode it to work. (2) Also, his second-born son was in a calcium factory and was severely scalded by a dry-container. The hospital fee ended up costing thousands of Yuan. (3) The person's daughter-in-law had to get an operation that cost more than two thousand Yuan. When the people of the village discussed these incidents with one another, they said it was retribution for slandering Dafa. In the face of these severe lessons, the person started to realize and understand that there is retribution for doing bad things.

*The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.
