In 2002, practitioners Huang Min, Lv Guiling, Zhang Lejin, and Jiang Luguang succeeded in transmitting cable television broadcasts which clarified the true facts about Falun Gong to different areas of Shandong Province such as Rongcheng, Rushan, and Wendeng of Weihai City, etc. They did this in an effort to save the world's people from being deceived by the lies coming from Jiang's regime. They then moved away. In January 2003, unfortunately, they were caught and held at the Weihai Detention Center. They were illegally sentenced to prison by the Huancui District Court of Weihai City.

Mr. Huang Min, 59, is from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. He was previously a lecturer in one of the city's universities. He was illegally sentenced to twenty years in prison.

Ms. Lv Guiling, 42, is from Jiangjiazhai in Weihai City, Shandong Province. She was unlawfully sentenced to nineteen years in prison.

Mr. Zhang Lejin, 36, is from Shuangyashan City in Heilongjiang Province. He was illegally sentenced to twenty years in prison.

Mr. Jiang Luguang, 27, is from Mouping in Yantai City Shandong Province. He was illegally sentenced to twenty years in prison.

Falun Gong practitioner Lv Guiling held a hunger strike for five months, causing her life to be in danger. Finally, prison officials were afraid of responsibility for what might happen to her, so they took her home using the excuse of "bailing her out, awaiting trial." The four practitioners didn't accept the persecution from the old forces and appealed to the Weihai City Intermediate Court.
