A Halo with Seven Colors Appears on a Night of Truth-Clarification By a Dafa practitioner from China
(Clearwisdom.net) A fellow practitioner told me a short story that she experienced while
clarifying the truth. Even though it was not such a big deal to her, I felt Master's grand mercy in
protecting the disciples all the time during the course of our cultivation. I saw the difficulties
fellow practitioners have to overcome in clarifying the truth in villages and the countryside. I
have written this story down so that it may serve as a witness to Master's grand mercy in saving us.
I hope that all practitioners, using righteous thoughts and righteous actions, will put in their
diligent effort to clarify the truth and save sentient beings! I am a Dafa practitioner from north-eastern China. I live in a small isolated village. The huge
area is sparsely populated. The roads are twisted and narrow, and it is difficult to go from place
to place. There are many people in the countryside deceived by the evil lies and it's very difficult
for them to receive truth-clarifying materials. As a Dafa practitioner, I take the responsibility to
do my best to clarify the truth to them. One time, several fellow practitioners and I decided to go to another town to distribute
truth-clarifying materials. The town was about 40 miles away. The countryside is different from the
city, since when a stranger goes to a village, the whole village will know it. So normally we
distribute truth-clarifying material in the evenings. A male fellow practitioner agreed to use his
motorcycle to take an older practitioner and myself. On the night when we were to leave, two other
fellow practitioners heard about our plan and wanted to go with us. Considering that one of them had
recently found this path of cultivation, and it was really not easy for him to come out to clarify
the truth, we decided to all go together. However, the motorcycle could only take two passengers. So
the practitioner driving the motorcycle took the older practitioner and myself first. The ride was
really fast and light. The motorcycle, despite having three people it it, felt as weightless as a
feather and sped along effortlessly. After more than one hour, we arrived at the town. Two of us got off and started distributing
truth-clarifying materials. The driver of the motorcycle went back to pick up the other two
practitioners. Everything went smoothly that night. All of the materials were distributed in less
than two hours. On the way back, we happened to meet the other two practitioners and the motorcycle
driver. The five of us split the truth-clarifying materials and distributed them separately. In the
countryside, many families have dogs. The houses are located quite far from each other; usually we
have to walk a long way to distribute truth-clarifying materials to dozens of households. It was
very dark that night, so it was really not an easy task to distribute truth-clarifying materials.
The people in this township rarely got truth-clarifying materials. Knowing that there are still so
many people who don't know the truth, I wanted to distribute more material. Everyone distributed his
or her materials smoothly. When we were done, we got together and prepared to go back. On the way back, the fellow practitioner who drove the motorcycle would drive two of us for
several miles and then leave us walking while he went back to pick up the other two practitioners;
he would then drive them for several miles further. Then he would come back to us. This went on
throughout our return journey. The fog that night was heavy. Even the light of a motorcycle could not pierce through it. In
mid-trip, we came upon several people who were at a store, that we didn't see them until we got very
close. They shouted to us, "Isn't that XXX (the name of the driver)? Stop!" Then they
drove over while shouting. I wondered who would be out in the middle of the night and could even
recognize us. I thought that it might be the police who had tracked us down. The driver was very
calm at that moment, and he asked us to get off the motorcycle immediately. There happened to be a
bridge along the road, so both of us got off the motorcycle and hid under the bridge. Then the
driver of the motorcycle turned on the light and drove towards the car. Because the fog was so heavy
the people in the car did not see us. Later we learned that the people were the driver's relatives.
His relatives had learned that the police were arresting practitioners who distributed
truth-clarifying materials by waiting for them at certain places in the local area. The police had
mentioned the fellow practitioner's name, so his relatives came to look for him that night. To avoid
his relatives seeing us, the fellow practitioner returned with his relatives right away. We knew nothing about this and continued to hide under the bridge. We concentrated on sending
forth righteous thoughts. After a while, we didn't hear any noises. Worrying about the safety of our
fellow practitioner, we walked onto the bridge but could not find him. So we continued walking home. There were no lights along the way, and it looked gloomy. I am timid by nature and my fellow
practitioner is an older lady. I was thinking while walking that we still had many miles ahead, and
we would be walking until dawn, and wondered if we would run into police cars. If there were police
tracking us down, we would be in danger. After a while, another thought popped up, "Is the
fellow practitioner who drove the motorcycle safe? Are the other two fellow practitioners who are
behind us safe?" I was worried and afraid. My human side became so strong that my righteous
thoughts were not strong enough. We started to wave for a car-ride. Because it was in the middle of
the night, no drivers would stop. I became more and more anxious, and it became more difficult to
stop a car. Several cars passed by without stopping. It is hard to describe the uncomfortable
feeling I had inside. It was good to have a fellow practitioner accompanying me. So I had to summon
my courage and go forward. In the dark night, the fellow practitioner and I walked in the heavy fog. I told myself that I am
a Dafa practitioner; Master is protecting me at every moment. When thinking about Master, my heart
became calm. However, my human side was still not feeling at ease. A truck drove toward us and
quickly passed by. At the moment the light of the truck disappeared, a big seven-colored halo
appeared in front of us. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple - the colors were so
clear, it was magnificent. My fellow practitioner also saw it. It was a scene from another
dimension. Even remembering it today, it is still very clear. The fellow practitioner and I were
very excited. We knew that Master was encouraging us, Dafa disciples, to strengthen our righteous
thoughts. At that moment, my mind became clear and my heart calmed down. I had nothing to fear. I remember
a fellow practitioner who had a similar experience. That fellow practitioner was timid and was very
afraid of walking at night. Once she went out to distribute truth-clarifying material with another
male fellow practitioner. She walked many miles to another village in the late night. On the way,
there was a very long train tunnel. When she came back, she became separated from the fellow
practitioner, and had to go through the tunnel by herself. Without a flashlight, she was very
afraid. At that moment, a grid-shaped light switched on and off in front of her. She followed that
light. When she reached the end of the tunnel, she tripped and ran into something. When she stood
up, she found that it was the male fellow practitioner! What an arrangement by Master! Thinking of
this, I could not help saying in my heart, "Master, Master, in order to not let disciples lag
behind on our path of cultivation, you worry about us so much. As a disciple, my understanding is
too low." With strengthened righteous thoughts, I felt powerful; Master is arranging everything. This time
when we waved to stop a car, a truck stopped. The kind driver took us on our way. After a while, we
saw two people walking in front. It turned out that the two fellow practitioners who were behind us
were now actually walking in front of us. I hesitated for a moment; the truck drove by the two
practitioners. It was too late for me to stop it. On the way back, I felt very uncomfortable. I left
the fellow practitioners behind but I should have asked the driver to give them a lift. Before long,
I arrived home. I got off the truck and was surprised to see a car parked in front of my house. It
turns out that that my husband (also a practitioner) had happened to help a friend, and had driven
the friend's car back. He had just arrived home too. After hearing my description of the situation,
my husband drove the car with me right away to pick up the other two fellow practitioners. When our car arrived in front of the fellow practitioners, I saw the surprise on their faces. That night, everything seemed daring on the surface. In fact, everything was Master's
arrangement. As long as we are able to put down our own attachments and walk righteously on our
path, Master can do anything for us. This experience may be trivial. However, it is this experience that helped me understand that
every truth-clarifying experience enhances and tempers my xinxing.* Each experience like this
makes me feel more and more that this truth-clarification is done for myself and not anyone else. I
know that what Master gives us could never be described in words. Some practitioners still only
study the Fa and practice at home and do not come out to clarify the truth. Thinking about this, I
would like to remind fellow practitioners that they should clarify the truth using all means. This
is being responsible to themselves and to sentient beings, and living up to the grand mercy and
salvation of Master. * Xinxing - According to Falun Gong teachings, this refers to mind nature, moral
quality and character. Practitioners try to cultivate their xinxing or character to be better
people. Posting date: 8/11/2003 |
