Breaking Free of the Brainwashing Center with Righteous Thoughts

On the afternoon of July 29, 2003, Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Lianyuan, from Gangnan Village, Gangtun Township, Lianshan District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, was forcibly taken away by police headed by Chief Jin of the local Police Station. Zhao Lianyuan refused to get into the police van, and shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good." The police beat him in his own backyard, which stirred the anger and condemnation of the local people who were present. The officers were frightened and called another group of police who arrived quickly. In spite of more and more people gathering around, the police, in front of the public's view, brutally beat him while he was on the ground. Zhao Lianyuan was tortured for more than one hour, resulting in injuries to his head, face, and many other parts of his body. The officers threw him into the van and hurriedly escaped from the spot under the intensive condemnation of the local people.

Along the way, Zhao Lianyuan kept shouting loudly in the police van, "Falun Dafa is good, Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa." The van stopped at a brainwashing center in the Xingcheng area, and Zhao Lianyuan was detained in a room on the first floor. By that time, several Dafa practitioners had already been abducted to that place.

Zhao Lianyuan firmly resisted all the requests, orders, and instigations of the evil. He was separately detained in a room, and was watched by a person on duty with two additional guards. Facing this tribulation, Zhao Lianyuan let go of considerations of life and death, and kept sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil in other dimensions of this dark den, which made the villains dare not have eye contact with him. Eventually, due to his strong righteous thoughts, he was sent back home from the brainwashing center openly, and with dignity on the morning of July 31.
