A Kind, Innocent Woman Unjustly Detained Many Times

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Yonghui, 48 years old, is a resident of Fuqinxi Street, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. On June 3, 2003, Ms. Gao was arrested by police from the Caotang Police Station as she was handing out truth clarification materials, and she was illegally detained in the Pi County Detention Center. The Qingyang Police Station was responsible for her arrest and detention.

Gao Yonghui had already been illegally detained four times prior to this arrest. Twice she had been arrested at her home by local police from the Yuanyingmen Station, and she was illegally sent to forced labor camp for one year.

Because she practices Falun Dafa, Gao Yonghui aligns herself with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. People who know her were all amazed to see the huge differences, both mental and physical, after she started practicing cultivation. Her chronic headaches went away, and her previously bad temper disappeared. Ms. Gao became a very nice, tender person, one who always thinks of others first. One time, a customer's bike was stolen from outside the shop where she works. She gave that person 200 Yuan, which was all she had [500 Yuan equals the average monthly income for an urban worker]. Once, a customer's money was stolen by someone while they were in her shop, so on behalf of the customer, she bravely ran out to ask the thief to return the 5,000 Yuan that was stolen. The people who know her all say that she is very kind, and that she always helps others with the money she saves from living modestly.

Such a kind woman has been illegally detained repeatedly in detention centers and a forced labor camp.

Ms. Gao takes care of her father and mother-in-law, both in their 80s, and she also has a daughter. Her illegal arrest has nearly caused these two senior citizens to suffer a mental breakdown. Their happy family has endured severe hardships because of Jiang and his regime's brutal persecution.

Seven other Dafa practitioners were arrested together with Ms. Gao.
