Authorities Pressure Health School Student to Stop Her Studies and Illegally Send Her to Forced Labor Camp

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Fuyan, a health school student in Xian County, Hebei Province, was arrested by the County National Security Team on September 18, 2001 because of her steadfast faith in Falun Dafa. At that time the policemen sent Wang Fuyan to the county detention center for 15 days. During her arrest, the policeman used a knife to slash the front and rear tires of her bicycle, and he took away over 200 Yuan* that was found on her. Furthermore, Wang Fuyan's new traveling shoes were also confiscated. (Note: In China's villages, the income is low, and personal items like new traveling shoes are usually considered a significant possession) When she was released after her detention was up, she was extorted out of 350 Yuan by the detention center, and later she was forced to stop her studies.

On March 1, 2003, as Wang Fuyan left the residence of a fellow practitioner, she was once again arrested by the National Security Team, and detained in the county detention center. In the detention center, she was force-fed and tortured because she refused to compromise and give in to Wu Xiansheng, the team leader of the National Security Team.

On May 8, 2003, Wang Fuyan's mother and fellow practitioners Liu Yaqin, Hu Xianduo, and Luu Wanjie, went to the National Security Team to ask for her release. The police department refused to let them in. These four practitioners meditated outside the doorstep of the police department and clarified the truth to the people. Later, they were detained for 48 hours by the National Security Team before they were released. During the detention period, policeman Ji Aihua sprayed Liu Yaqin, Zhang Guiying and two other Dafa practitioners with water laced with foreign substances. Their clothes were soaked. Furthermore, Ji Aihua also used the handle of a wooden broom to viciously hit Zhang Guiying. Zhang's face was beaten so badly that a big purple bruise appeared on her face and it was swollen for many days. Later Wang Fuyan was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. On June 26, 2003, she was sent to the No. 5 Division of Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp.
