Belgian Practitioners Officially Announce the Preparation of a Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin


(Clearwisdom.net) On Wednesday August 13 2003, Belgian Falun Gong practitioners publicly announced the preparation of a lawsuit against the instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, and his accomplices. Jiang will be accused of genocide, crimes against humanity and torture, atrocities that have been committed against Falun Gong practitioners all over the world, including Belgium. The first official lawsuit launched against Jiang in Chicago, Illinois in October 2002 accused him of the same heinous crimes.

All Belgian politicians today received an official statement from the Belgian Dafa Association, announcing the preparation of this lawsuit. A letter was sent to the King of Belgium, explaining the situation of Falun Dafa in Belgium and the rest of the world, outlining this historic step for Belgian practitioners and bringing the vicious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners all over the world to the Belgian King's attention.

Belgian media organizations received a press release detailing this event, together with a copy of the letter that was sent to the politicians. Falun Gong practitioners were invited for an interview on one of Belgium's leading radio news programs. The interview was broadcasted on Wednesday 13th August, shortly after 5pm.

Belgian practitioners have already received an encouraging message from a Belgian political party, saying that they support this initiative, wish the practitioners success and hope that the result of the lawsuit will be good.
