Remembering Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Bin

(Clearwisdom.net, July 28, 2003) Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Bin was a senior computer engineer at Daqing City Oil Field Company's Research Labs. He was tortured to death by the police in October 2000.

After I traveled to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, the police arrested me and sent me to the detention center. My prison cell happened to be the one where Wang Bin was previously detained. After I arrived, quite a few inmates came up to tell me about him. One said, "Wang Bin was such a good person. He could recite from memory four chapters of the book Zhuan Falun." An inmate also told me that the brand name shirt another inmate wore belonged to Wang Bin. When this inmate first came to the detention center, he was so filthy and had lice in his underwear. He could not afford to pay the prison 150 Yuan to rent a blanket. Nobody wanted to sleep next to him. Wang Bing gave his own shirt to this inmate to replace the filthy underwear and also shared his blanket with the inmate.

Wang Bin created a righteous environment in the detention center. His conduct impressed many people. No matter where he went, he held himself to a high standard, and he truly manifested Falun Dafa's principles. As a result, criminal inmates all knew that Falun Dafa was great and living by "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance" was righteous.

One inmate's memory of Wang Bin deeply moved me. He said, "You always call your Master 'Teacher Li', but Wang Bing always referred him as 'The Venerable Master'." Indeed, this showed how much respect fellow practitioner Wang Bin had towards our Master.
