"Those Things Go Directly Into the Trash"

During the July Washington, DC Fa conference, we visited the office of a congressman from our state. This congressman has always been supportive of Falun Gong; he once initiated a congressional bill supporting Falun Gong, and he has co-signed others.

One of his senior assistants talked with us for half an hour. He was very well informed about recent occurances, such as the arrest of Charles Li, the violent assault on Falun Gong practitioners in New York, and others. He once again assured us of the congressman's and his own support.

When we mentioned that materials slandering Falun Gong, originating from Chinese embassies in the USA, are often delivered to members of congress, this congressman's assistant beckoned with his hand and said with a smile, "Those things go straight into the trash can."

Apparently, propaganda is just that and cannot deceive clearminded people.
