Ms. Liu Chunyan was illegally sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp after she had been to Beijing to validate Dafa after July 20, 1999. She was released at the end of December 2002. Not until she was released did she learn about that her husband had been illegally sentenced to nine years because he made truth-clarification materials. Even under pressure, she still firmly believed in Teacher and Dafa. She distributed the truth materials regularly after she had been released. In June 2003, a taxi driver reported her to police when she was posting flyers. After she was arrested, in order to get her out, her uncle had to buy a car for the superintendent of Nantai Police Station, and spent more than 20,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] on taking related people to dine in a restaurant in Shenyang City. However, Liu Chunyan was again sentenced to a three-year term in a forced labor camp. Her whereabouts is unknown.

On June 12, 2003, Ms. Sun Linghua was illegally arrested and detained in Jinzhou City First Detention Center. Ms. Sun went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She became very weak under the police custody and sent back home. After she went home, she ate a little bit. Five hours later, she was again arrested to the detention center. Policemen were about to put her on trial.

Since June 2003, more than 40 practitioners from Yi County of Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province have been illegally arrested in succession. Policemen ransacked practitioners' homes. Once they found Dafa flyers and materials, they would arrest people.

On June 6, 2003, Jinzhou City Dafa practitioner Mr. Huang Cheng and Mr. Zhang Lifeng were tailed and illegally arrested. Dafa materials and equipments were confiscated. The total was more than 10,000 Yuan. Mr. Huang Cheng was illegally sentenced to forced labor and was detained in Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp to be persecuted.

Recently, Zhanjiang City "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] held another brainwashing session in a private building near Zhanjiang City No. 7 High School. Ms. Cai Mei, Ms. Wang Xiuqin and over 20 other practitioners were illegally detained there. Ms. Cai Mei went on a hunger strike for four days. The staff in the brainwashing session said that she could be released if she gave up practicing Falun Gong and handed in 700 Yuan as a fine. However, Ms. Cai Mei refused.
