A Family That Has Learned of Falun Gong's Goodness Spreads the Word

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Gong practitioner who works for a company in southern China. Ever since the persecution first began in 1999, I have been clarifying the truth to one of my female coworkers. For several years, I have had her read the touching stories of practitioners who have safeguarded Falun Dafa, upheld the truth and persistently appealed in Beijing. She told me that after reading those stories and experiences, she felt that her mind was purified as well. Later on, I would lend her many Falun Dafa materials and CDs, which gave her a better understanding of Falun Dafa.

At that time, her relationship with her mother-in-law had not been very good. After having a talk with her, explaining the Dafa principles and suggesting that she make peace with her mother-in-law, she took the initiative and invited the mother-in-law to attend her daughter's birthday party. Thereafter, their relationship resumed as though nothing had ever been wrong.

In 2000, I showed her several Dafa truth-clarifying materials. She then made hundreds of copies of them and passed them out along her way home. Pleasantly surprised, I asked her, "Why did you do this?"

She said, "Falun Dafa is just so good. I don't want to let anyone be deceived by the lies."

At that time, some people had asked her husband, "Is your wife practicing Falun Gong?"

He answered, "No, she's just doing a good deed."

In 2001, I was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp for exposing the truth of the "Tiananmen Self-immolation Incident." While there, I tried everything I could to get a letter mailed to her, clarifying the truth about the "self-immolation," the persecution of practitioners held in forced labor camps and the media's false reporting. I asked her to share the letter with everyone she knew. In turn, she passed it on to her coworkers, one of whom gave it to her sister, who was a teacher. The teacher then passed the letter to other teachers in her school. People were all astonished after reading my letter, saying things like, "How could a government be like this? It's gone too far. If we had not personally seen the letter, we would never have believed that such things could happen."

In July 2003, this coworker and her thirteen-year-old daughter paid me a visit. We talked a lot about Falun Dafa and I gave them quite a few truth-clarifying VCDs. I also showed them the scars on my body left by the beatings received in one of the brainwashing sessions. After the daughter had watched all the VCDs, she was puzzled and asked her father, "My teachers in school all say that Falun Gong is bad, but in fact, I've learned that it is pretty good. They have been persecuted so severely. So why have our teachers asked us to write articles criticizing Falun Gong?"

The father said, "You'll have to think it over and draw your own conclusions."

The daughter had previously misunderstood some things about Falun Dafa because of all the rumors and propaganda. She had even participated in the "Anti-[slanderous term omitted]" drives to collect signatures denouncing Falun Dafa. After learning the truth, however, she told everyone that Dafa is good, and even called her friends, saying, "Come on over and watch Falun Dafa VCDs with me."

This happened exactly as Master said it would in Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference,

"Another thing is, that Chinese person you saved, he'll go and tell others too, so it's giving him a chance to gain some merit. In this persecution people have committed sins, and they've had a hand in helping along this persecution and fuelled the evil's fury, so they will be given chances to redeem their sins. After they discover the truth they'll talk about it everywhere, and that would be redeeming their sins, so you should do your best."
