Dafa Practitioners Unlawfully Detained and Sentenced in Lintao County, Gansu Province
(Clearwisdom.net, August 10, 2003) The following are cases of Falun Dafa practitioners being
persecuted by staff of the Political and Judicial Committee and the police department in Lintao
County, Gansu Province. Mr. Wen Weidong went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong. He was unlawfully sentenced to
four years in jail and sent to Lanzhou City Dashaping Forced Labor Camp. Later he was transferred to
Dingxi Crane Manufacturing Factory to serve his sentence. Mr. Wang Yalong went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. He was detained for over a year in
Lintao Detention Center. Because he refused to give up Falun Dafa, Lintao Court handed him a
four-year sentence. He was sent to Dingxi Crane Manufacturing Factory to serve his sentence. Mr. Wang Jianlong (Wang Yalong's younger brother) was unlawfully sentenced to a one-year
term for his trip to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Because he refused to give up Falun Dafa, on
July 19, 2002, he was arrested again and is being held in Lintao County Drug Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Sang Chengzhou was unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor because he went to
Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. He served his sentence in the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp. On July
19, 2002, he was arrested again and held in Lintao County Drug Rehabilitation Center. Later he
escaped and didn't go back home to avoid further persecution. Mr. Yang Shengchun is 76 years old. He was once illegally detained for 6 months. In July 2002, he
was arrested again and remains imprisoned. Mr. Zhu Bangqiang is 52 years old. He was arrested on December 23, 1999, and detained. He was
released 8 months later. Because he refused to give up Dafa, he was arrested again on July 19, 2002
and is still in jail. Ms. Sang Xiaochun, 33, is practitioner Wang Yalong's wife. Because she traveled to Beijing to
appeal for Falun Gong, she was detained over two months. On July 19, 2002, she was arrested
again. She remains detained. Her 8-year-old child is being cared for by her mother-in-law who is in
her 60's (child's grandmother). Ms. Yang Juixiang, 23, is practitioner Wang Jianlong's wife (Wang Yalong and Wang Jianlong are
brothers). She was illegally detained along with Ms. Sang Xiaochun on July 19, 2002. Because she
refused to give up Falun Dafa, she has remained in prison. Her 3-year old child is being raised by
her mother-in-law in her 60's (child's grandmother).
