On August 4, 2003, patrol police from the Jiangsu Road Police Station arrested Ms Bi Jia when she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying material. Shortly afterward, they ransacked her home and confiscated some materials.

On August 1, personnel from Mangshan District's Changqing Road Police Station arrested Ms. Li Xiaofen at home. She is now detained at Mangshan Police Station's Detention Center. In May, policemen from the Laoyachen Police Station abducted Ms. Li Guixiang from home. She has been sentenced to forced labor and is now being held at the Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp.

The following is a list of practitioners who have been illegally detained and sentenced and their prison terms.

Ms. Ding Ruqin, 7 years;
Mr. Zhang Zhiping, 6 years;
Mr. Zhang Chao'en, 3 years;
Mr. Han Jingyun, 3 years;
Ms. Wang Fengying (21 years old), 3 years.

According to Ms. Ding Ruqin's family members, she is being held at Baoding Prison. Although she is now paralyzed as a result of the torture she received, she has not yet been released. While Ms. Wang Fengying was detained at Feixiang County Detention Center, police discovered on a surveillance monitor that she insisted on doing the exercises. They then transferred her mother, a practitioner, and directed a group of six to seven male criminals to sexually assault her at will. The criminals then beat and kicked her after committing a group sexual assault.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Pei Hongmei, 35 years old, was an employee of Handan City's Gas Company. She lives in the Luochengtou District residential area. In the Spring of 2001, personnel from the Luochengtou Police Station took her away from home without due cause. She was later detained for more than half a year at Handan City's No. 2 Detention Center. In the Spring of 2002, she was reported to police when distributing truth-clarifying materials. She was thus taken to the Handan County Detention Center and later on sentenced to forced labor at the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.

Dafa practitioners Ms. Wu Qiaoyun, Ms. Zhang Yumei, Ms. Lin Xiujuan, Ms. Li Jianying and Ms. Zhang Xianli were all arrested for no reason before the 16^th National Congress in August 2002. They were sent to Handan City's No.2 Detention Center. Several months later they were sentenced to forced labor and were successively sent to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp. The ladies Wu Qiaoyun, Zhang Yumei and Lin Xiujuan were sentenced to one or two years of forced labor for going to Beijing to appeal on October 1, 2000. This is their second time of being sentenced to forced labor and this time they were sentenced to three years.

At 10:00 a.m. on August 10, 2003, dozens of people from Double Dragon Lake Street Residential Committee, local national security department, and village council of Lianglu Township/Yubei District went to practitioner couple Mr. Feng Changyun and Ms. Chen Rong's home to force them write the so called "Three Statements."* Feng and Chen refused to do so. Later, Feng took an opportunity and got away, but his wife Chen Rong was arrested and her whereabouts are unknown.

On July 22, 2003, officials from Zhong District Court in Guangyuan City sentenced practitioner Ms. Zhang Zhongbi to three years of imprisonment.

On October 2, 2000, authorities arrested Ms. Zhang in the process of distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and allowed to serve the term outside the labor camp.

Zhang Zhongbi was born in Yuechi County, Sichuan Province on October 27, 1938. She retired from Guangyuan City's Construction and Design Institute. On October 8, 2002, Zhong District Police detained her and sent her to prison on November 8^th, 2002.

On July 15, Dafa practitioner Li Junxia was arrested by the personnel from Chengshi County "610 Office"** and Shenchi County Police Department. Li has been sent to Wuhan City and detained at Jiang'an District Brainwashing Center in the Danshuichi area.

The police from Wuhan City/Hubei Province arrested practitioner Yao Hui again.

Recently, the National Security Team officials from the Yanliang District launched another round of persecution against Dafa practitioners. Chief Li Qiu and commissar Yao Yan'an called all Dafa practitioners living in the district separately to their offices and ordered them to write the "guarantee" [guarantee no longer practice Falun Gong, no longer associate with Falun Gong practitioners and not to go to Beijing to appeal] and fingerprint what they had written. Anyone who refused to cooperate with them would be sent to brainwashing centers or forced labor camps.

We hope Dafa practitioners overseas would call the following officials to clarify the truth.

On November 6, 2002, police officials from the Taihe Precinct arrested a teacher, Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Limei from her unit and then detained her at the city's No.1 Detention Center. On December 13, 2002, Taihe District's Court secretly sentenced her to three and a half years of imprisonment. In the beginning of April 2003, Zhang was transferred to Shenyang City's Main Scented Soap Factory, located at Shenyang City's Dabei Prison, for further persecution.

In March 2001, lawless policemen from Harbin City's Female Forced Labor Camp (located in a drug rehabilitation center) specially invited He Zuoxiu from Beijing. He Zuoxiu is Jiang's favorite accomplice and devotes himself to help Jiang persecute Falun Gong. When he gave a lecture to those who have given up Falun Gong practice [due to brainwashing and torture] someone asked, "What kind of consequences will those unyielding practitioners have to face?" He Zuoxiu answered, "The nation has policies: put them into prisons and mental hospitals!" This lecture was videotaped. Policemen tried to force determined practitioners to give up Falun Dafa by repeatedly forcing them to watch this video.

*The "Three Statements" - Practitioners are coerced under brainwashing and torture to write these as proof that they have given up their belief. Created by the "610 Office," the three statements consist of a letter of repentance, a guarantee to never again practice Falun Gong, and a list of names and addresses of all family members, friends and acquaintances who are practitioners.
