North Taiwan: Over Two Thousand Practitioners Attend Three-Day Fa-Study and Exercise Activity (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net, Aug. 17, 2003) A three-day activity of North Taiwan group Fa-study and exercise was held at the Jiantan Activity Center of Taipei starting on the evening of Aug. 15, 2003. Though limited by the facility's capacity, more than two thousand Falun Gong practitioners participated, according to the activity's sponsor.

Among the practitioners who participated in this activity, most were new practitioners who started cultivation in the last couple of years, while only some have been cultivating longer. Experience-sharing between the old and new practitioners was excellent. Many new practitioners indicated that it was very worthwhile to come to this activity. It is very helpful for their Xinxing (heart nature) improvement.

Besides discussion on problems that practitioners often have during their personal cultivation, the main point of the experience-sharing agenda was how to do the three things well: cultivating oneself, clarifying the truth and sending forth righteous thoughts.

As always, it was very thoughtful of the activity sponsor to arrange for a discussion group in Taiwanese, which gave those practitioners who don't speak Mandarin a group study opportunity. The practitioners in this group actively participated in the discussion and enthusiastically exchanged their experiences.

More than one hundred children practitioners formed a special Fa-study group. Most of these little practitioners have attended the Minghui School of Taipei and are very familiar with this form of experience sharing. Besides Fa-study and recitation, the team leader also arranged flash-movie-watching, drawing, singing and outdoor exercises. To our surprise, many children were able to easily talk about the truth of the "self-immolation" at Tiananmen with assurance. They all knew that Jiang deceived the people with lies.

On the afternoon of Aug. 16, more than one hundred children did their meditation in the field next to Jingguo Hall. Many everyday people were fascinated by this scene and started discussing about it. Their looks were filled with curiosity and appreciation. Children's group meditation also served as a successful Fa-spreading activity.

Despite more than four years of suppression by Jiang's regime, the number of Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan has soared, reaching two to three hundred thousand according to estimates. Practitioners come from every segment of society and every corner of Taiwan. The kindness of these practitioners has earned understanding and great support from most Taiwanese. The attitude of the Taiwan government officials and different parties toward Falun Gong is also positive and supportive. They uniformly condemn the tyranny of the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party.

The 2003 Experience-Sharing Conference of North Taiwan was to be held in Taipei on the afternoon of Sunday, Aug. 17. More practitioners were anticipated to attend the conference.
