Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Wang Hongxia of Anyue County, Sichuan Province Sent to Nanmusi Women's Labor Camp Again

Ms. Wang Hongxia is a 39 year old university graduate who used to work in the Advanced Study School for Teachers in Anyue County, Sichuan Province. In November 1999, as a result of clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the local governmental departments, she was sentenced to 2 years of forced labor in Nanmusi Women's Labor Camp in Zizhong County, Sichuan Province. Because she firmly held on to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, and refused to renounce her belief, her term was extended for another 9 months. She was released in October 2002.

She continued to tell people about the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong. She was again arrested in November 2002, and sentenced to "reeducation" through forced labor for two and a half years. She is currently still detained in the Nanmusi Women's Labor Camp. Before Wang Hongxia was illegally detained, she was very healthy and without any sickness. However, due to the brutal persection she has endured in the forced labor camp, she is suffering from heart disease, nephritis, whole body edema, and other diseases. Her health situation has become a concern.
