Dafa Practitioner Mr. Xi Zhimin Tortured to Death at the Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province

Mr. Xi Zhimin, 40 years old, was a Dafa practitioner from Shiyi Village, Fuqiao Town, Zhong District, Suining City, Sichuan Province. At the end of 2001, the police ransacked his home and took him away. He was detained at the Lingquan City Detention Center, where he had two of his ribs broken due to severe beatings. Later he was transferred to Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang City to be further tortured.

On July 25, 2003, Xi Zhimin's family members were asked to come to the labor camp. However, when they got there, they found that Xi Zhimin was already dead. They noticed there were three stitches on his head, and there was a mark on his neck that strongly indicated that he was strangled. It is not known if there were wounds on other parts of his body. In order to block the news, the labor camp offered Xi Zhimin's family members some funeral expenses and threatened them not to disclose his death. More details will follow after further investigation.

Since July 20^th 1999 when Jiang's regime started to persecute Falun Gong, four practitioners have been persecuted to death in Suining City alone: Mr. Tian Qiang, Ms. Su Qionghua, Mr. Peng Fangjian and Mr. Xi Zhimin.
