Dafa practitioners Song Deyue and Liu Shulan, a couple from Qiaozi Town, Huairou district, Beijing, were unlawfully arrested again because of their refusal to give up practicing Falun Dafa. Ms. Liu was once arrested and sentenced to a year and a half of forced labor for validating Dafa at Tiananmen Square in the beginning of 2001. Mr. Song was once abducted and sent to a brainwashing center.

On June 24, 2003, the police from Huairou district broke into the couple's home again, violently taking Mr. Song to the Huairou detention center and sending Ms Liu to a brainwashing class. Mr. Song was sent to the No. 1 hospital in Huairou on July 1^st. The doctor discovered that Mr. Song had a concussion and a fractured rib. He could only lie in bed in an unconscious state. Even under such circumstances, there were still two police taking turns watching over him. Later, Ms. Liu came to look after Mr. Song. The couple still believes in Dafa steadfastly.

The police in the Huairou detention center often use other non-practitioner detainees to viciously torment Dafa practitioners. In order to cover up their crimes, the police lied, and said that Mr. Song had caused his injuries himself.
