My Daughter is Being Persecuted at the Dabei Jail in Shenyang

(Clearwisdom.net August 14, 2003) My daughter Xiu Xiaoxue started to practice Falun Gong in 1997, and has always been diligent in cultivation. She went to Beijing to validate Dafa in 2000, and was sentenced to a labor camp for three years. She was released in September 2001. She distributed truth materials door to door in July 2002. An ill-intentioned person reported her to the police and the police abducted and took her to the No.1 detention center. She refused to cooperate with the misguided policemen. The police would not let her family see her. This lasted for 5 months. Later, she was sentenced to seven years of jail secretly and was sent to the Dabei Jail in Shenyang in December 2002.

She has suffered various forms of inhumane torture in the Dabei Jail. Every day she was forced to do labor for 14 to 15 hours. If she could not finish the work, she had to eat stale rice that had hardened from being left out for a long time. In January 2003, that is, the first month that Xiaoxue was sent to Dabei jail, her father and I went to the jail to visit her. Just because I said that Falun Dafa teaches people to be good, unlike what is said on TV, the warders would not allow me to see my daughter. Even the letter I wrote to her was confiscated.

In March of this year, I saw my daughter through a friend's help. The moment I saw her I was shocked. My daughter was feeble and she had injures all over her face. Both of her hands were black and blue. She had a gaping wound in a triangular shape, which was most likely cause by a metal object. It was February when I saw her. My daughter cried and I felt very sad. No one should have to suffer like this in order to earn the right to pursue being a good person. I asked the warders why they beat Xiu Xiaoxue. The warders said shamelessly, "She was bumped by a machine." They instigated the common criminals to violently beat Falun Gong practitioners who wouldn't recant their belief. They also forced Falun Gong practitioners to do the heaviest work."

On April 22, the police started to forbid the family members to visit Falun Gong practitioners in jail using "SARS" as the excuse and this is still happening. The news is blocked and we do not know the situation inside the jail. We do not know how badly the Dabei Jail is persecuting steadfast Falun Gong practitioners.
