Authorities in Wei County Arrest Family Members and Hold Them Hostage to Force the Return of Falun Gong Practitioners

Sixty-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Tingyu of Hucundian, Yali Town, Wei County in Hebei Province was arrested in June by Wei County and Yali Town police officers in an effort to force his daughter and son-in-law, who have left home to escape the persecution, to come back.

Tingyu's wife is forced to report to the police station every day, otherwise, she will be arrested as well.

Police from Yali Town also arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Lianxi of Hucundian in August. They also ransacked his home and fined him several thousand dollars.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Gaihuan of Zhangerzhuang Township, Wei County in Hebei Province was forced to leave home. Zhangerzhuang Township police arrested Gaihuang's 60-year-old sister who is not a Falun Dafa practitioner in order to make Gaihuan return home.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ren Bingyan of Beiyingfeng Village, Zhangerzhuang Township, Wei County was forced to leave home. Zhangerzhuang Township police arrested Bingyan's sister in an effort to force Bingyan to return home.
