St. Louis, Missouri: Practitioners Calls for Rescue of Charles Li on a Live TV Broadcast by Local NBC Affiliate (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of August 25, 2003, two days prior to the arrival of the "Car Tour Around the US to Rescue Charles Li," Falun Gong practitioners in St. Louis were on "Today's Window on St. Louis", a daily live television program produced and aired by the local NBC affiliate. Practitioners were invited to give a brief introduction of the car tour.

The practitioner said during the interview, "Our friend Charles Li is a doctor from California and also a Falun Gong practitioner. On January 22 this year he was arrested upon getting off the plane at a Chinese airport, because he was charged with attempting to expose the fact that Chinese Falun Gong practitioners are suffering serious human rights persecution. In jail, he was subjected to torture, beatings and forced brainwashing. His friends in America are appealing for him through a car tour from California to the capital, Washington, DC. The car tour will arrive in St. Louis on Wednesday afternoon. We hope people to extend their help to help secure the safe return of Charles Li."

After the program, the practitioners presented to the host and other viewers news briefings and truth-clarifying VCDs.
