The Persecution of Dafa Practitioner Yu Shuang at the Daqing City Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province

Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Shuang, 29, was a surgeon at the Employees' Hospital at the Longfeng Power Plant affiliated with the Petroleum Administration Bureau. On February 18, 2003, he was arrested and taken to the Hongweixing Brainwashing Center in Daqing City. Because he refused to give up his belief in Dafa, he was then transferred to the Longfeng District Detention Center. Afterwards, he was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor education.

He was assigned to the second brigade in the labor camp. Criminals Zhao Yanjun, Sun Haibo, and others were ordered to monitor him. They cursed at Dafa and Teacher. During May 5 and 6, Yu Shuang was severely beaten by Zhao Yanjun and Sun Haibo. They tried to force him to curse Dafa. Unable to bear the pain, Yu Shuang knocked his head against the wall, causing a big bump on his forehead. They then tied him to a chair and extended his term for three months. The 11^th rib on the right side of his body was fractured. He was in excruciating pain whenever he moved his body even a little bit. He was forced to sit in the chair motionless for seven days and nights, wearing shackles. As a result, his legs were swollen and he had great difficult walking. The labor camp did not allow Yu Shuang's family to visit him, fearing that their crimes might be exposed. Later they transferred Yu Shuang to the first brigade.
