Dafa Practitioner Mr. Sun Jianzhong is Abducted Again After Being Severely Injured by Torture

Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Jianzhong from Tangshan City, Hebei province has been illegally detained and brutally tortured many times since 2002. As a result of being tortured, his left arm is severely damaged.

Mr. Sun Jianzhong is 36-37 years old. Because he practiced Falun Gong, he was forcibly abducted in the summer of 2002 by the police in the Chengguan Town and sent to a brainwashing class. Mr. Sun got out of the brainwashing session a couple of days later. He was forced to leave home and move from place to place to avoid further persecution.

In December 2002, the police arrested Mr. Sun while he was delivering truth-clarification materials. He was brutally tortured in the Fengrun District Police Station and later sent to the Fengrun District Detention Center. In the detention center, Mr. Sun went on a hunger strike four times to protest the illegal detention. His family went to the police department many times to appeal. In June 2003, Mr. Sun was sent home in a very weakened state.

Once home, the Fengrun District Police Substation ordered people to watch Mr. Sun wherever he went. After over ten days of family care, Mr. Sun recovered a little and was then forcibly taken back to the Fengrun District Detention Center by the police. In the detention center, Mr. Sun continued his hunger strike. The police ordered inmates to force-feed him urine. They tied his hands and feet to a bed and deprived him of sleep for 7 consecutive days and nights. They also used iron bars to pry open his mouth to force-feed him.

After enduring such torture for 2 days and under his family's many requests, Mr. Sun was returned to his family on July 11. By then Mr. Sun was in serious condition as a result of the persecution. He had canker sores all over his mouth and was emaciated. He had bedsores on his back and his left leg; he had lost sensation in his leg and was unable to stand or walk. He still cannot lift his left leg. He cannot take care of himself at all. However, the police in Fengrun District still ordered 4 people to take turns watching him 24 hours a day. They blocked the building entrance and several police vehicles are around in the evenings, putting great pressure on Mr. Sun and his family.

On July 31, the police of Fengrun District again came to arrest Sun Jianzhong. They talked to his family first and told them they were going to take him away. His family refused and exposed the facts of the police persecuting Sun Jianzhong. Many residents were milling about and watching as several police vehicles drove up. Police officer Li Chunyuan, Zeng and Yao led dozens of other policemen in a search for Sun. Mr. Sun's family refused to open the door. The police, wielding guns and using a hammer on the door, finally broke through around noontime. The door was completely destroyed. Disregarding his condition, the police carried him away, as his mother fell to the ground and cried out loudly. The police deceived his mother and took her into the vehicle and drove to the police substation. The surrounding residents all saw the polices' atrocities and felt very angry.

Currently Sun Jianzhong is being detained in the First Detention Center of Tangshan City. He is on a hunger strike and in critical condition.

The policemen from Fengrun District Police Department, Li Chunyuan, Qi, Zeng and Yao have persecuted Dafa practitioners. They confiscated practitioners' homes, abducted and beat practitioners. The use all kinds of torture, including electric batons, electric wires around fingers, handcuffs and shackles. Mr. Sun Jianzhong is only one of the practitioners being brutally persecuted.
