Who Should be Held Accountable for This Broken Family?

(Clearwisdom.net)

Dafa practitioner Yang Lin is a 38-year-old university graduate and former factory employee in the Yuhua district of Changsha City, Hunan Province. On January 17, 2002, he was illegally sentenced to one and a half years at the Xinkaipu Labor Camp in Changsha City. His "crime" was allegedly distributing written information that clarifies the facts of Falun Dafa and the persecution in China to another Dafa practitioner, who then made several hundred copies to give to people. That practitioner was sentenced to 2 years in a labor camp as well.

Yang Lin's wife, Wang Jiyun (also a Dafa practitioner), is a 39-year-old university graduate and former employee at the Zhengzhong Yaoji Factory in Changsha City. On April 19, 2003, her mother was illegally arrested and detained in the Changsha Detention Center while handing out flyers about the persecution of Falun Dafa near Xiwangyue River in Changsha City. Wang Jiyun's father was also arrested around the same time by police from the Yuelu Police Station in Changsha City, but currently his whereabouts are unknown.

On April 22, 2003, just three days after her mother and father were arrested, Wang Jiyun was abducted by police on her way to work. The police then ransacked her and Yang Lin's home and office to look for Falun Dafa materials. The only thing they found was Zhuan Falun (the main text of Falun Dafa) and a notebook in her office, but this was enough to sentence Wang Jiyun to a detention center. Currently she is still being detained, and there is no one to look after Yang Lin's 83-year-old parents and their 9-year-old son at home.

On July 16, 2003, Yang Lin's illegal one and a half year sentence to the Xinhaipu Labor Camp expired. Nevertheless, police refused to release him on grounds that he was "stubborn and did not behave well" (in fact they meant that Yang refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa). They have extended his sentence to persecute him further.

Who should be held accountable for persecuting such innocent people? Who should be held accountable for the sorrow of these elderly parents and this young child who have lost the love and care of their family? Who is the one abusing the Chinese constitution and international human rights in using all of their power to persecute millions of good people?
