"610 Office" Manipulated the Serial Killer Story To Frame Falun Gong
(Clearwisdom.net) On July 14, 2003, the official Chinese news service, Xinhua News Agency, published a detailed
article about a poisoning case in Wenzhou City of Cangnan County, Zhejiang Province. Xinhua
maliciously maligned Falun Gong by alleging that the serial killer of sixteen beggars and vagrants
was a practitioner acting on the "doctrines" of Falun Gong. During the past four years of Falun Gong's persecution, reports from the Chinese media, which is
controlled by Jiang's rogue regime, have been shown in many cases to be fabrications unfairly
framing Falun Gong. Examining the true facts throughout this period of persecution shows that the
media has falsely accused Falun Gong, and made groundless allegations, including causing 1,700
deaths, unfairly accumulating wealth, maintaining a luxurious mansion, self-immolation, and even
propagating SARS. While many of these individual reports may superficially appear to be independent of one another,
they are in fact actually all connected through their commonly shared origin at the "610
Office."* On June 10, 1999, Jiang Zemin personally ordered the establishment of this illegal
organization to serve as a vanguard group to "specifically deal with issues related to Falun
Gong." Its establishment and existence are completely without legal foundation and directly
result from the expansion of Jiang's personal power and his personal desire to systematically
persecute Falun Gong into extinction. One of the primary tasks of the "610 Office" is to
frame Falun Gong, thus deceiving the Chinese people and instigating hatred toward Falun Gong. The "610 Office" directly commands and controls the party administrations, police
bureaus, prosecutors, courts, labor camps, labor camp management departments, national security
departments, propaganda agencies, news media, and every level of government. It is the chief
headquarters, tightly organized at every level, from local government to the Central Committee of
the Party, for the systematic persecution of Falun Gong. The "610 Office" was modeled after the "Leading Group of the Chinese Communist
Central Committee for Cultural Revolution," which once possessed absolute power and
deliberately instigated conflicts among various groups of people all over the country during the
Great Cultural Revolution. People who have lived in a society controlled by a dictator know that whenever the highest
authorities have expressed their view, the subordinate people always follow. A dictatorship could
fabricate a story about anything, and despite it being false, the higher authorities would praise
any region that succeeded in the most elaborate embellishments. Other regions would follow suit to
protect their positions, as well. The "propensity toward exaggeration" was formed this way
during a movement in the late 1950s in China, commonly referred to as the "Great Leap
Forward." During that period, grain production was exaggerated from a few thousands pounds per
acre to several hundred thousand pounds per acre. Now, we all know these were ridiculous
exaggerations, yet they are still recorded in Chinese history. When the Chairman of the State, Liu
Shaoqi, was accused as being a "traitor to the Chinese Communist Party, traitor to the Chinese
people, and traitor to the Chinese workers," there were apparently "mountains of
evidence." However, when the time came for the accusations to be proven, the so-called
"mountains of evidence" mysteriously vanished. The same is true of the accusations today against Falun Gong. The "610 Office,"
fabricated false theories, altered the essence of law, and slapped political labels and accusations
on people at will. The "610 Office" coerced people to serve as false witnesses, and
shamelessly attacked Falun Gong. The "news reporting" of recent events such as the poisoning case in Zhejiang Province
and the propagation of SARS, as well as earlier events such as the Fu Yibin homicide, the
propagation of anthrax, and the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square, cannot be treated as independent isolated events. It appears that each of these
"news items" was fabricated by the Chinese media upon the direct orders of the "610
Office." Jiang's rogue regime has relentlessly devised criminal labels and lies framing Falun Gong. Just
as the founder of Falun Dafa said at the 2003 Midwest-U.S. Fa Conference, "The constant escalation of the persecution of Falun Gong has left them with no way out.
Step by step they escalated things, and they've been anxious to suppress it and beat it down in one
shot, so they never left a way out for themselves. The deceitful propaganda is still constantly
being cranked out, and they have no way to explain themselves to the Chinese people, they have no
way to explain themselves to people around the world, and the Chinese government has always been
spreading lies to deceive the public, fabricating rumors, making up false news, and causing the
deaths of so many common, mainstream people through persecution. How wicked--could this regime still
be allowed to exist? Faced with a future society that has a complete system of law, those people
can't escape justice!" ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Midwest-U.S. Fa Conference") Over four years of brutal persecution have not destroyed Falun Dafa practitioners. Instead, their
courage in upholding righteousness has won understanding and respect. This crackdown on Falun Gong
is heading irreversibly downhill, and is doomed to fail because no matter how well the lies have
been fabricated, it is hard for people to believe them once they are presented with the facts and
face the truth. * "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with
absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary
systems.
