The Persecution of Dafa Practitioner Ms. He Zhiwei from Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province

(Clearwisdom.net July 27 report) Dafa practitioner Ms. He Zhiwei, 42 years old from Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, used to work as Deputy Manager of the Business Section of Zhuhai City Customs Declaration Company. She started to practice Falun Dafa at the end of 1997.

Since the onset of the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999 by Jiang Zemin's regime, He Zhiwei has suffered persecution by the people from Zhuhai City Customs Declaration Company, and the police department and the "610 Office" because she refused to give up her practice of Falun Dafa. She was twice detained, and was forced to leave home in 2001 because she refused to participate in the illegal brainwashing class in Zhuhai City.

In April 2002, He Zhiwei and two other Dafa practitioners, Lin Wuyong and Ding Yiyin (husband and wife) from Zhuhai City were forcibly arrested when the police were searching rented houses in Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. They were taken back to Zhuhai City. Without any proper legal procedures, officers from the "610 Office" illegally detained them in a small room in Building 20 at the Jinfu Square in Zhuhai City for over half a year for brainwashing. Because they did not give up their belief, the "610 Office" later sent them to Zhuhai City Minfu Hotel for further persecution (the Minfu Hotel is a place specially used by the "610 Office" to impose long-term persecution on Dafa practitioners).

Before the Spring Festival in 2003, He Zhiwei openly told other fellow practitioners at a meeting organized by the brainwashing class not to believe the lies, to have firm faith in Master and to firmly practice Dafa. Because of this, she was transferred to the Zhuhai City Detention Center and was illegally detained for 15 days, where she suffered even more intense persecution.

Currently, He Zhiwei has been expelled from the Party, from her employment, and dismissed from her position as deputy manager with Zhuhai Customs Declaration Company. Her husband divorced her after intense pressure and harassment from his work unit and related government departments. Their 12 year old daughter is also being strictly monitored by her school, the neighborhood committee and He Zhiwei's ex-husband, and has lost her personal freedom to practice Falun Gong.

During her illegal detention, He Zhiwei's mother, elder brother, elder sister, younger brother and other relatives tried to visit her many times, but all their visits were denied, and they were not allowed even to make a phone call. When they tried to call to enquire about her situation, their calls were abruptly cut off. When her elder sister went to visit her in Zhuhai City, she was told that He Zhiwei had already been transferred to the provincial female labor camp in Sanshui City. Currently, He Zhiwei's family members and friends do not know anything about when she was transferred, how long she was sentenced, or anything about her personal safety.
