lawsuit against former Chinese president Jiang Zemin in the United States on
charges of genocide, more than 40 different organizations and individuals in
Europe, Asia, America and Australia have actively prepared to launch the
"Global Coalition for Bringing Jiang to Justice." The Coalition's
Preparatory Committee held their first conference in the Chinese Culture and
Education Center of Paris' 13th District, to launch the first symbolic public
trial of Jiang Zemin. The following is the speech from a representative of the
Paris-based China Democratic Party.
The three things that the treacherous dictator Jiang Zemin represents are: 1. Genocide 2. Trading off Chinese territory 3. Corruption
It is not accidental that Jiang Zemin has these "three represents."
As the Chinese Communist Party's saying goes, it is because of his class
characteristic. According to an article entitled "Jiang Zemin's deeds and
his time of admission to the Chinese Communist Party should be
investigated", written by Mr. Lu Jiaping, who is a Chinese scholar and a
member of the Chinese Two-war History Research Association, it is not difficult
to find out Jiang's class character. On last March 26th, the article was
presented to the Chinese Communist Party's Secretary General, Hu Jintao, other
members of the standing committee of the Political Bureau, as well as the heads
of the Central Military Committee, Chinese Communist Party's Disciplinary
Commission and other important governmental, political and military units
through internal channels.
Jiang Zemin's father Jiang Shijun was a traitor to China. During the period
when the Japanese army occupied Jiangsu Province, he was a high-ranking official
of the Japanese army's anti-Chinese propaganda department, which is tantamount
to the role played by the Iraqi Propaganda Minister. With his father's
connections, Jiang Zemin entered the Wang Jingwei regime's Nanjing Central
University (Wang Jingwei was a Chinese leader, head of the regime established by
the Japanese in 1940 to govern their conquests in China.) There was a so-called
"Iron Blood" Club in Nanjing Central University, composed of the
traitors to China. As the son of a real traitor to China who was selfish and
eager to be promoted by currying favor with powerful people, Jiang Zemin must
have been in this "Iron Blood" Club! Otherwise he would not be Jiang
Zemin. After the Sino-Japanese War ended, the national government purged Central
University to single out those who were traitors to China. Jiang Zemin was so
frightened that he hurriedly fled to Yongxin County in Jiangxi Province, where
he was sheltered by a farmer for half a year. Undoubtedly, Jiang Zemin was
suspected of being a traitor; otherwise, why was he so scared?
When Jiang Zemin was studying in the former Soviet Union, he was close to a
Russian woman by the name of Klava; Jiang was recruited by the Soviet KGB's Far
East Bureau as a spy to monitor Chinese students and collect information for the
Soviet authorities.
According to Jiang Zemin's résumé, he joined the Chinese Communist Party in
1946, stating that he joined the Party just one month after he fled from Yongxin
County in 1946 (Jiang fled from Jiangxi Province in March 1946, but he joined
the Party in April 1946). Is it possible? The former General Manager of the
Anshan Iron and Steel Company, Mr. Bin Ma, indicated that Jiang Zemin was
introduced to the Chinese Communist Party by him in 1956. I think it is easy to
know which date is the correct one.
Therefore, it is apparent that Jiang Zemin is as fake as a counterfeit on the
market. As a matter of fact, Jiang's true identity has long been exposed to the
world. Since China is ruled by only one party, Jiang is still shrouded in the
title of the Chairman of the Central Military Commission. In reality, he is a
traitor to China, a Soviet spy, a dictator of China and a tyrant to the Chinese
people. Only the Chinese Communist Party would regard him as a great leader.
We have all witnessed the disasters that resulted from the ten-year Chinese
Great Cultural Revolution. Mao Zedong and his Gang of Four said fine words, but
did the most evil things. By the same token, Jiang Zemin and his diehard
followers have said the most beautiful words but done the most despicable things
to the Chinese people. The "Three Lectures", "Three
Representations", "To Rule the Country by Virtue", "Keeping
Abreast of the Times", etc. are nothing but lies. All the evil things Jiang
has done in the past 13 years prove that he is the evil that should be condemned
by history, and is too wicked to be pardoned.
Today, the theme of this public trial conference is one of Jiang Zemin's
three represents, Genocide, which means the deliberate killing of all or part of
a race, religion, social group or political party by a regime using terror and
violent approaches, as indicated in the following:
Killing the members of a group; Causing the members of a group to suffer from serious physical or mental trauma; Forcing a group to act under a certain circumstance purposely; Destroying all or part of the lives of a group.
In 1989, Jiang Zemin mercilessly ordered the closure of the Shanghai World
Economics Report, and cruelly persecuted its Chief Editor, Mr. Qin Benli, to
death. Jiang wanted to show his determination of counter-bourgeois
liberalization to please Deng Xiaoping and other leaders in the central
government. Before the June 4th Tiananmen Square Massacre, he had fully
understood what was in Deng Xiaoping's mind. He thus bypassed Zhao Ziyang and
sent a letter to Deng Xiaoping through Li Peng (at the time Zhao Ziyang was
still the Premier of China.) In the letter, he strongly demanded the suppression
of the students demonstrating in Tiananmen Square without mercy. The shocking
Tiananmen Square massacre thus took place, and Jiang was recommended by Deng
Xiaoping, Chen Yun, and Li Xiannian to the post of Secretary General in the
Chinese Communist Party. After the June 4th incident, Jiang initiated
unprecedented nationwide arrests and terror. Tens of thousands of patriotic
students and civilians were gunned down, arrested, sentenced and
"reformed" in forced labor camps, etc. Jiang Zemin not only was the
vanguard of the June 4th massacre, but he was also an executioner whose hands
are tainted with blood.
In 1998, the Chinese government signed the United Nations' two agreements on
international human rights. But shortly after that, Jiang Zemin started to
eradicate the China Democratic Party, trying to eliminate the Party at the
beginning stage, in order to maintain political stability by means of high
pressure tyrannical rule. Within a short period of time, all 36 people in the
management of the China Democratic Party in China were arrested and sentenced.
I don't want to enunciate any further, but what is worth mentioning is that a
member of the China Democratic Party and a labor movement leader from Liaoyang
Province, Yao Fuxin and Xiao Yunliang, were also sentenced to four years in
prison by the Chinese regime on the charge of subversion. In addition, the
chairman of the Chinese Communist Party's Beijing Office, Ho Depu was also
arrested and prosecuted on subversion charges pending sentence.
Though the China Democratic Party is being suppressed by Jiang Zemin, and
many members have been arrested and put in jail, a lot more people are following
their footsteps. Currently, the China Democratic Party is still active in China,
and it will never be eliminated by the evil regime.
In addition to suppressing Chinese Democratic Party members and dissidents,
Jiang Zemin has also oppressed all kinds of people who have different opinions,
including those who are engaged in religion, qigong, etc. Today there are some
Falun Gong practitioners here. On behalf of the Chinese Democratic Party, I
would like to express my sincere respect to all the Falun Gong practitioners.
Over the last four years, Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office" have
employed the most cruel, base and despicable means to torture and persecute
Falun Gong. All the Falun Gong practitioners have made it through the chilly
winter, and have survived the white terror. They have transformed from a
strategic defensive approach to strategic counteroffensive approach. I don't
want to say anything more. They are going to accuse Jiang Zemin of his crimes
based on their own experiences.
Here I would like to bring to your attention the persecution of Chinese Home
Church followers by Jiang Zemin. According to a letter to Pope John Paul II from
Mr. Li Shixiong, President of the Committee for Investigation on Persecution of
Religion in China, since the spring of 2000, more than 20,000 Home Church
followers have conducted a survey of more than 560,000 followers in 207 cities
and many villages in China's 22 Provinces. Since many people dared not to
respond or refused to answer the survey, the findings may not be accurate
enough. So, the actual number of victims would be much higher. The findings show
that since China took the reform and open policies, among Chinese Home Church's
60 million plus followers, at least 2.7 million have been illegally arrested;
440,000 people have been sentenced to "re-education" in forced labor
camps; 750 people are on the wanted list; 200,000 people have been forced to
escape from their homes or are missing; more than 10,000 people have been
killed; more than 20,000 people have become handicapped after being cruelly
tortured; 130,000 people have been under surveillance in their daily lives, and
1.12 million people were illegally forced to pay fines.
This irrefutable evidence exposes the Jiang regime's lie -- that this is
China's golden age in terms of freedom of religion.
This irrefutable evidence also indicates that Jiang Zemin is a hysterical
persecutor, a crazy abuser, a murderer and a tyrant.
Amnesty International has listed Jiang Zemin as a human rights scoundrel. On
March 6th 2002, the US Committee to Protect Journalists listed Jiang Zemin as
one of the media's top ten enemies for the past three years. On October 7th
2002, the US State Department listed China as one of the world's six major
countries that trample on the freedom of religion.
The net of Heaven has large meshes, but it lets nothing through. Throughout
the ages, those who often commit wrongdoings will be punished eventually.
Jiang Zemin is the one that brings calamity to the country and the people. He
is guilty of the most heinous crimes, which are beyond description. As long as
Jiang Zemin avoids elimination, there will never be a peaceful day in our
country.
On October 18th 2002, Falun Gong plaintiffs filed a class action in the
United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern
Division against Jiang Zemin.
Today, we, the Global Coalition for Bringing Jiang to Justice are here
to hold a symbolic public trial of Jiang Zemin.
We deeply believe that justice will eventually defeat the evil; we are deeply
convinced that victory will surely be ours.
