UK: Some Stories from Our One Year of Round the Clock Appeals at the Chinese Embassy (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) It's been more than a year now since UK Dafa practitioners launched the 24-hour peaceful appeal on the pavement opposite the UK Chinese Embassy. Dafa practitioners stay there to practice the exercises, send forth righteous thoughts and promote Falun Dafa to passersby, day in day out.

There are many touching stories happening every day, and the following are three of them:

Policemen are our friends

On a Sunday evening, there tend to be few pedestrians on the street. As soon as I finished practicing the exercises, I saw the policeman who was on duty at the Chinese Embassy walking towards me. He asked me if there are any English versions of our Video-CDs available because he wanted to have another one. Not long ago, when a practitioner gave him some truth-clarification materials, he praised the photo of Dafa practitioners performing in traditional Chinese costumes as "very beautiful," and looked at the photo again and again.

He also told me something interesting. On a Wednesday evening, it is usually very noisy on the pavement opposite the embassy. The situation confused him a lot because his impression of Falun Gong practitioners was that they were always tranquil and peaceful. He went over there to check it out and found that on Wednesdays, practitioners share the spot with another group of people.

The policeman mentioned that he spent most of his time on duty watching us practicing the exercises, and that he had almost learned the whole set of exercises, and might go to the park to practice the exercises with others in the future. Before leaving, he told us that many of his colleagues have already read Falun Gong leaflets and they all support us.

A couple from Poland

One afternoon, a couple from Poland read our posters with very serious expressions on their faces. Upon seeing the photos of Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death, they screamed: "Is that true? Is that true?" After hearing that it was, the couple couldn't calm down for a long time. They fully understood the on-going terror in China because they had seen similar situation in Polish history. The husband said: "You will certainly succeed. You can see it from the fate of those war criminals." He added: "Some people dare to do whatever they want to because they mistakenly believe that they only live once!"

Finally, this Polish couple signed their names on the signature book to support the rescue of UK Falun Gong practitioners' family members.

Tourists from Taiwan

On another Sunday afternoon, as soon as practitioners finished sending forth righteous thoughts, a bus packed with tourists from Taiwan happened to pass us. We first spotted some smiling faces, and we waved to them. Though the bus stopped in front of us for only a few dozen seconds, when they were about to leave, all the people in the bus excitingly waved to us and smiled. Some of them even clapped their hands or gave the thumbs up sign to us. I knew that they would see similar scenes in other European countries, and would share what they saw in Europe with their friends in Taiwan. They would also tell their family members and friends that Falun Dafa is popular in every country around the world.

Every day many people with predestined relationships come to know the truth about Falun Gong from the embassy; every day more and more people start to support us; every day this kind of thing is going on here again and again....regardless of how chilly the winter is or how hot the summer is, we are here step by step to fulfill the vows Dafa practitioner made a long time ago.
