Practitioners in Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province Are Illegally Arrested

On May 20, 2003, practitioner Shi Yuzhi of Jiucaigang Village, Liujianfang Township, Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province was arrested at home because someone reported that she distributed Dafa truth-clarifying materials. She refused to write any statements against her will and refused to give up her cultivation, and was therefore illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor.

On August 25, 2003, several policemen from Liujianfang Township Police Station broke into practitioner Zhang Suyun's home in Jiucaigang Village at 5 a.m. After ransacking the home they found a cassette of Master Li's lecture and a copy of Zhuan Falun. They then threatened her, "We have warned you many times that we will arrest you if Falun Gong related materials are found in your home. We already have your record on file. If you do not behave, we will sentence you to a jail term." Zhang told them the facts about Falun Dafa, but they did not listen, instead they drove her to the police station. They told her family, "Our bosses have set the rules. She must pay fines and face sentencing if she does not write a guarantee letter and give up Dafa." To release her, Zhang's family scraped together 2500 Yuan RMB and handed it over to the police while apologizing profusely. While pocketing the money, the policeman said hypocritically, "We would not have had to arrest her if you folks had cooperated in the first place. This whole affair will be our little secret okay."

Around the same time, the police also broke into practitioners Wu Yan and Wang Shuping's home in Malong Village, Liaojianfang Township (Wang was not at home at the time). Wu was unwavering. She refused to write the guarantee letter or pay any fine or compromise whatsoever. She told the truth to the police with benevolence, hoping that they would realize the real tragedy and injustice the practitioners are suffering. Unfortunately, the police became angry and violent, forcing her into the police car. Wu yelled, "Falun Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is righteous!" Facing the steadfastness that the practitioner exhibited, the police did not know what to do and ended up sending her to Shenyang Female Jail. She told a fellow practitioner on her way to jail, "We are practitioners. We are cultivating a righteous Fa and we are on a righteous path. No one can alter our hearts for cultivation."

I want to tell solemnly those who did not listen to the advice of other practitioners and are still carrying out orders from Jiang's regime: "Do not attempt to make money or get promotions by persecuting Falun Gong."
