Singapore: Falun Gong Walks With You -- "The New Paper Big Walk 2003" (Photos)

?(Clearwisidom.net) An annual Big Walk sponsored by the New Paper was scheduled on September 7, 2003 in downtown Singapore. Based on previous years' experience, it is estimated that there would be several tens of thousands of Singaporeans taking part in this event.

Falun Gong practitioners in Singapore took this as a good opportunity to help more Singaporeans become familiar with Falun Gong. Therefore, many practitioners participated. The practitioners demonstrated their righteous thoughts and righteous actions as a whole body during the entire walk.

On the morning of September 7, more than 60,000 people participated in the 10km Big Walk. Falun Gong practitioners were marching as a contingent. Many people were amazed at seeing them.

Holding A Banner Reading "Falun Dafa is Great" High

Among these practitioners, there were elderly people in their 80s', and a one-year old baby in a baby carriage. Wearing bright yellow T-shirts and caps with words, "Falun Dafa is Great," they walked steadily and joyously during the entire course.

Banners reading "Falun Dafa is Great," "Falun Gong has enabled one hundred million people to obtain physical and mental wellbeing," "Falun Gong walks with you," and "The worlds needs 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance'" in both Chinese and English were held high and were prominent and eye-catching. Falun Gong practitioners' courage, steadfast faith, righteousness of persisting in the truth strongly touched people's hearts. Many people said among themselves, "Oh, Falun Gong can also join such a big walk--" Someone told his friends through a hand phone, "I'm in Falun Gong's contingent."

Everyone has an opportunity to see the beautiful Falun Gong exercises

The 10-km Big Walk passes by the Kallang River. Practitioners lined up along the river where all of the walkers would pass and demonstrated the elegant and smooth Falun Gong exercises. Those who had no opportunity to see the Falun Dafa banners would definitely see the practitioners in bright yellow T-shirts quietly practicing the exercises opposite them.

Many people took pictures of practitioners who were practicing the exercises. Some walkers simply sat for a while to watch the practitioners doing the exercises, some young students imitated several movements of Falun Gong exercises and then walked away.

The day before the Big Walk, practitioners had different opinions on if we held banners in the Big Walk. But after more practitioners held righteous thoughts, they demonstrated their righteous actions as a whole body. The practitioners also realized that the more we cooperate well, the better the results would be.

After the Big Walk, practitioners were all pleased. In such an environment like Singapore, we could make good use of such an opportunity to peacefully "parade," to convey our messages to the public, it is really a precious opportunity.
