Chicago: Practitioners Participate in Labor Day Parade in Naperville (Photos)
By a Chicago Dafa Practitioner
(Clearwisdom.net) On a rainy September 1, 2003, Chicago Dafa
practitioners participated in the Labor Day parade in Naperville. Naperville is
one of the largest suburbs of Chicago with a population of about 140,000. Many
Chinese people live here.
Early in the morning on September 1, 2003, the practitioners decorated float
in the rain and rehearsed their fan dance. Not until just before the parade did
the rain taper off. After the parade, the rain became heavy again.
The Mayor of Naperville issued a proclamation to Falun Gong in 2001 and 2002.
We participated in the Labor Day parade last year, as well.
The practitioners' procession brought a peaceful and serene atmosphere to the
parade. People listened to the solemn Dafa music, watched the serene Falun Gong
exercise demo and viewed the graceful fan dance. Voices of praise came one after
another. The kind-hearted residents of Naperville could not understand why
Jiang's regime persecuted Falun Gong, "Such a graceful practice. Why does
the Chinese government persecute it?" "Such pretty dancing, especially
seeing them in the rain."
